I'm excited to hear about the new patch, and I'm greatly anticipating it. I've been wondering where the forums here went off to, and I've been looking for a good patch to this game for a while now. ^^

Sorry for the elongated wait for the new patch.
Alas, it is good no one has posted something like "what's taking so long", because it makes it much more troublesome to minitruth everything to push me into the 'always right' corner. Big Brother is watching you.
Anyway; here's the thing:
- All chapter dumps I pretty much have started from scratch. Why? Shoot me. To you, the user, you'll see nothing. It is all purely for my sake as I've redone the 'source files' into a more shexy way.
Previously I had done each chapter one by one in a linear fashion (except the 'finale'), this time I'm doing it by their dump 'banks'. Because among one of my more genius moments I thought to myself "why didn't I just make a program that creates the source file for me, and then I fill in the japanese 'gaps'", so I did. Hence why I'm redoing all the source files anyway.
Previously:
Chapters 1-19, and the Finale, were released.
With my revisions I have done the following

# Contains Chapter 1, 2, 2x, 4, 11, 21x

#----------------------------------------
# Contains Chapter 3, 5, 7, 8, 9
#----------------------------------------
#----------------------------------------
# Contains Chapter 4x, 11x, 16a, 17a, 23
#----------------------------------------
and at this time I'm working on

# Contains Chapter 6, 12, 12x, 14, 15, 20
#----------------------------------------
This leaves 21, 22, 24 & 24x which have not been completed - in any shape or form.
I still require some translation works; which I've been lazy to dump.
Edit: and of course I still have to redo chapters: 10, 13, 14x, 17b, 18 and 19.
So the reason I'm pretty much restarting all this? My peace of mind, and the fact I felt somewhat guilty for 'leaving' the other language patches that were worked on in the dust (Spanish and Norweigen). I still have the works that were done for these, and would most likely put some works into that as well... but it is not a direct priority. Peace of mind. PEACE....
Releasing what I have now would of course be an improvement from the previous patch, but to me, it would just seem out of order, and somewhat out of touch. What's the point of playing the patch to chapter 20, and then enduring the gabble of 21 to return to 'normal' for 21x, and then back again... blegh.
Really; the most annoying part is the fact that after I've done some major copying and pasting is fixing up the line lengths - UGH. (So things don't splay off of the screen causing graphical glitches).

Hey, the least leechers can do is complement you on your work. I know I wouldn't want to be exploring the depths of the rom file.  |

Indeed. It's terribly rude of someone to say such things without having to think and respect the work that someone has put into a patch like this. I'm glad to hear that progress is being made-- and as I said before, I'm eagerly anticipating the final product. |

Yes, it's going to be a complete patch. And it will be ready when it's ready. Asking "when will this be done" won't make it go any faster, and may just end up annoying Shaya. |

Thanks for the translation patch, I just beat the game and I enjoyed it a lot. I have to say that is the nastiest Fire Emblem I have played in terms of difficulty.

Do be diligent in finding bugs though, who knows, me fixing a big could easily result in me getting in the swing of doing other things.
