I just had a few thoughts about Volke, the assassin who calls himself the Fireman.

Firemen put out fires, and Greil had hired Volke to kill him if he ever went berserk again. Greil's insanity could be compared to a wildfire, in that both are impossible to control and quite destructive and therefore must be put out as quickly as possible.

Plus, the item that drove Greil insane is called the Fire Emblem.

It's late, and I'm probably reading way too much into this, but I thought it was interesting nonetheless.

That is basically it (to me anyway, I thought the same thing just didn't put it down).

I personally just thought it was a phrase he made that would be used to call him without it being something that's able to come up in a normal conversation by mistake.

You know, like how one of those old spy movies, a guy called in an assassin by telling the fast food guy that they wanted a "cheeseburger, hold the cheese". It's a subtle way to tell the guy what the person is really after in a way that won't normally be stated in a casual conversation.

You're... Different. We all are. Him especially. But there's something kinda fantastic about that, isn't there?

I liked the early translations' version better though...the Extinguisher...that works two-fold, as it both puts out fires and lives, lol
