I finished my first playthorugh of Radiant Dawn a few days ago, and I've been geniunely bothered by one aspect of the game: the Black Knight. Is he really so... basic? I mean, he's a villain straight out of "RPG Plot 101." Is there nothing more to him? I know that there's added dialogue in the second playthrough of the game; is anything added there? Is he really so, er, completely lame as he appears to be in the first playthrough?

Well he was always bound to be a little cliche. I mean he's called the Black Knight you know (I know). In general I thought everything about Radiant Dawn was pretty cloyingly sweet and basic. But there's some effort concerted to fill out his character so that you feel sympathy for him at the end of the game, kind of a Darth Vader syndrome. The whole branded thing, using his armor not just to be identity but to cover his shame, the theme of loneliness blah blah blah. I haven't had the time to play the game through again though, so I can't tell you if any unlocked dialogue enlightens us to the situation further.

None to my eyes, although its been months since I beat it a second time, there's the Ike's memory scene I think there is another scene after you save Sephiran. But other than that I don't know for sure.
