This thread's where I'll gleefully tack on any fun and interesting features I've added that are above and beyond a standard SMF forum. Also, any feature requests or ideas can go here as well. -RSS feeds. An RSS feed is a special file that you can point a piece of software (called a RSS feed reader) at. It checks that file at a specified increment and informs you when it's been updated. There's one for every individual FESS forum. If you want something that integrates RSS feeds but does not do it on the fly, check out Google's iGoogle page. It's nifty. -Member notepad. Much like the IPB scratchpad. Nothing really to say here. -Enhanced Quick Reply box. For those who don't already know, on SMF you activate the Quick Reply by going to your preferences (profile, Look And Layout Preferences) and activating it. This quick reply box is amazingly featured, as opposed to the IPB and stock SMF blah-boring. -Picture gallery. I know nothing about this aside from the fact that it installed without a hitch. -Spoiler tag. -Custom profile fields. -Integrated Java IRC chat applet to connect to #fesschat. -Profile comments. Leave comments for people, etc. Feel free to post requests or feature ideas for shooting downconsideration. Thanks, Ed |

Just for a feeling of security (at least on a personal level), I would like to request the removal of the option of deleting our own accounts. (Knowing my dumb-ass self, I'll actually do that to my account  ) |

Historically we've never deleted accounts, except in extraordinary situations. You can queue it for deletion, but an administrator would have to approve it.
This queue is precisely to prevent people from accidentially deleting themselves.

Another thing I wouldn't mind seeing would be the separation of "Who's Online" between guests and members. Seeing as this wouldn't fall under high priority, I'm sure you can save it for a less busy time, if you're capable of doing it (and knowing you, you probably can).

Kind of like where, one will only show guests, while the other only shows members. Something like that. I suppose it would be similar to the "Show Detailed:" in stats on FESS4, where it leads to "Last Click" (showing everyone, including guests) and "Member Name" wich only shows members. I hope that made the slightest bit of sense.

I hate all Fire Emblem games, so there needs to be an option in the relevant profile field that'll either let the field not show up in your public profile or a (none) field.
Also tooltips for smilies would be nice.
