A new patch, v.98, is up with the new script. I checked out the new characters (including the <3) and they all seemed to work. If anybody notices anything, of course let me know, but I think it's all good.
I also gave the scrolling into another shot and came up empty again. Blarg. Most things about the game are pretty straightforward, but I just can't figure out what's going on there.

RPguy, I was able to download your zip file just fine, but the file was empty, is this an error on my part or is your zip file download in your first post empty?

No, that just means you're using old unzipping software. Try downloading the files individually if you don't feel like upgrading: (Right click->Save as) Version 1.0Version 1.1

I actually don't know what's different, just that something is because some addresses are offset a bit in v1.1 vs v1.0. For our purposes, it doesn't really matter, because the v1.1 patch pretty much changes v1.1 into v1.0.
(Wow that's a lot of v's.)

If that's the case, I should check if some of the bugs I found (Like the Arena Chainy Abuse)are any of them.

Just something minor that I noticed (ZSNES 1.36 savestate attached). During the Ellis-Marich convo in Book 2 F3, Marich says one of Ellis's lines. Oh... But Marth... and the others are watching... This is embarrassing. I'm guessing a control code is missing.

I'm guessing a control code is missing. It appears that this: [control: 0092010002] Ellis! Great, you’ve finally awakened. It’s alright now, I’m here. [pause] [newline] Oh... But Marth... and the others are watching... This is embarrassing. [pause] [newline] Ellis, no matter what happens I won’t leave your side again... Okay?
is all spoken by the same person (whomever 48 is, I assume Marich). I checked the ROM and there's no control for switching text windows between the pauses in the original Japanese. I guess Marich embarrasses easily? at the ending part the script froze when it says year 400 etc I'm not entirely sure which part you mean; I'd guess the perfect ending. I just tested that and it works, though. Please be a little more specific and maybe I can help. For some reason when I try to patch the v1.1 rom I dled from *REDACTED*, it tells me the ips file is invalid and doesn`t patch. what do I do? Download from here instead?

Hello. I have downloaded the patch and am wondering which version of the rom to apply it to. I don't mean 1.0 vs 1.1. The only downloads I can find for the rom are a zip archive containing literally a dozen different dumps of the rom(eg. [b1], [h1], [h1+c], etc.) Is there a particular one i should use? TIA

Usually patches are made for the original "Good" ROMs, labeled with a [!] if "Verified Good".
Be sure to check for the 0x200 byte header though.

You know what? You're already in GEOS, and you're mentioning ROM sites... you're finished here. Get the fuck off my website.

I, uh, also fixed RPGuy96's post, which mentions said ROMsite.
Even though I don't know what "redacted" means...

Redacted means that the information has been removed, more or less. For instance, if someone quotes someone else for an article, and the quote has information that is considered sensitive for whatever reason, the government can go in and say "take that name out". That's essentially what I did.

I have an issue with the patch. Although it works just fine when using the snes9x emulator on a winXP and Vista and Linux Red Hat 4 for me, it screws up on the psp version of snes9x. I have verified that both the 1.0 and 1.1 originals are as functional on the psp as the comp, but when the patch is applied (using Lunar IPS) the battle sceens are extremely buggy. No matter who attacks who, the result is a huge graphical spitup and the game frezzes up, but the music continues as normal. Here are some ss: This hapens just before the first battle text is supposed to apear: iow "sheeda's attack" This apears .5 to 1.0 seconds later. When battle animation is turned off, however, I can attack normally.... Anybody having a similar problem, do have any input or suggestions? TYVM! edit: Sumimasen! RPGuy96, I forgot to thank you for such a wonderful patch. You did an excelent job!
