To be exact, Blossom multiplies growths by a factor of 10/9 (approx. 1.11...) in FE9.

Quote
Even if it's 20% (or more >_>) I wouldn't consider it significant, because it makes low growths still low and high growths higher.  I suppose it's good for getting to a point where you can BEXP their lower stats better, but I honestly prefer the 2x experience from Paragon.
You're forgetting that while low growths are still low, they're higher than they would be otherwise. So, not only does the unit reach the point at which you can start BExp-ing their lower stats earlier, but their lower stats would already be possibly one or two points higher by that point, meaning they'll cap those stats, too, with less effort and less BExp.

Now on the hypothetical case that it raises growths at a fixed 20 percentage points, I'd personally love that skill; 30% is a hell of a lot better than 10%.

I was referring to a 11/9 boost, which in this case would be about 1.22*;  10% going to 12% is not very significant.  Although, 40% going to 49%'s pretty decent.  But let's not argue hypothetics before we're 100% sure of what it does in FE10.

chaosprophet; When I used it on Sothe in FE9 it meant shit all for his stats.  They were right on average with his non-Blossom averages.  It barely makes a difference especially on chars with lower growths in said stat because it's, on average, going to be an extra 4-5% in the growth.  Which results to about 2-3 on average.  I'd rather have the faster experience gain (resulting in more level ups quicker, meaning more stats quicker) than the slowed down experience gain for a slight boost.

I just think it's strange that my characters got many awesome levels with it equipped. Maybe I was just lucky?
But as it halfs experience I only consider worthy to use it on characters that start at a high level second tier/low level third tie (because usually they won't be as strong as characters who could use bonus experience from earlier after capping some stats and still have enough level ups so it could make a difference)
or in laguz (so they have enough capacity to equip both paragon and blossom at the same time).
