I have no clue if this has been brought up before but I looked back to the last page of this and haven't seen anything, other than the topic about Resolve on the very last page.

Basically, not all skills do what their info says.  Let's make a list of them and what they do compared to what the game says they do.

Maelstrom -
The game says this unit has a chance to deal its strength back as damage to a unit that attacks it indirectly.

It actually doesn't deal all of that units strength back.  At first I thought the unit dealt damage equal to its strength - the enemy's strength but after a little while I found that to be false as the damage was off by a few points.

I'll check for more when I start playing again later tonight.

Resolve doesn't boost Strength, and activates at 50% as opposed to 20%.

Skills like Maelstrom and Quick Claw do damage equal to the laguz's untransformed strength stat.

Ok.  I'll look at that and see if it does it for me next time I'm in control of Naesala, can't remember if Tibarn has it.  It just seemed a bit higher than Naesala's untransformed strength, I could swear the damage was in the 20's.

IIRC the descriptions of a lot of skills are clearer in the EU version.

I believe the problems with the descriptions in the NA version were because they changed the mechanics from the JP version while leaving the description the same (I think). I'm pretty sure the JP version's Brave (Resolve) activated at 20%, for example (I, for one, have never had it activate in the 20%~50% range).

According to VASM's site it activated at Strength% in the Japanese version, but don't quote me on that since my memory's a little vague.  My guess is they accidentally removed the Strength boost while changing the activation rate.

I think the activation rate in the JP version is both under 20% HP and then [Strength]% activation (as I have never seen it activate over 20% HP and I think I've seen it fail to activate under 20% HP, though I could be wrong on the second part).

You're right.  Wrath also had similar activation in the Japanese version, based on Skill % and under 20% HP.

The Dark Knights description says he knows the powerful skill Luna, despite the fact it's name is Eclipse. His skill was Luna in the JP version, but they changed it since his version is different from the Marshal's, but they apparently forgot they changed it when they translated his info.

Also Eclipse says x5 damage, on the JP version it says x4, not sure what it is since nobody is living through even the Marshal x3 one, but 1 of them is wrong (I'm going to assume it's the NA one).
