Okay... I'm gonna use this thread for all my questions, so I don't have to make so many posts and spam the forums.    And if you guys have any questions about FE5, ask them here, too!

1.  Where could I get Lopto and Light magic tomes?  I have Salem and a promoted Saphy without any tomes to use.  D:

2.  How many promotion crests could you get?  I have like 3 characters that have reached level 20 and don't have promotion items...

3.  Do I capture Trewd and hold him for the rest of the chapter to get him?

Capture for the former ( Dark mages get increasingly common from now on, especially in the chapter 20's ), while for the latter they can only be bought at chapter 22, and there's only very few light tomes before that.

However, for Salem, I STRONGLY recommend giving him Wind magic ( if you even want to use him in the first place ), since it's very light, and unlike the Bards and Sisters coming after him, he can use it when unpromoted.

For Saphy, there's a Rezire in chapter 14, as well as a Lightning tome in the same chapter. Then, nothing else until chapter 22.

2.  How many promotion crests could you get?  I have like 3 characters that have reached level 20 and don't have promotion items...

Without chapter 22's Vendor, there's 14 Knight Proofs in total.  There are 2 in 12x ( assuming you're still here ), 1 in 13, 1 in either route you follow for chapters 16-17 and a few others later on.

Sure.  Yes, you do need to hold him until the end ( it's basically like that for every recruitable unit you have to capture, like you did with Rivis if you did recruit him. )  You can also recruit him by talking to him with Parn.

You get a grand total of one Lightning tome until lategame, and it comes with Homer in Ch14. You'll find you're never short of Dark tomes again after Ch14x, as there's a horde of Dark Mage reinforcements around that you'll want to capture as they carry around Rewarp staves.

1.  What villages do Nanna and Dain have to visit to get Homer and the Draco Spear?

Nanna has to visit a house on the right side of Tahra, but I forget exactly which one.
Dean has to visit the house that's next to the boss, but said boss is tricky.

Homeros is waiting on the far northeastern side of town, close to the villagewhere the Dragon Lance is. Still, only Nanna can recruit him.

Homer is more like on the opposite side of the map from where you get the Dragon Lance. He's in the one closest to the middle and the arena iirc, I always make Nanna visit the furthest one first and pick up Homer on the way back.

If you can't take the Empire's frontlines and their boss quickly enough, field two staff users (or Saphy + Dancer Lara) and Warp + Return Dean so he can safely take the Dragon Lance. Remember you only have 10 turns to do it all.

I think it should also be noted that in the chapter with Homeros, be aware that around the last turn for the chapter, some green dracoknight units will arrive. However, these green units are NOT on your side and will go after you and only you.

I'm pretty sure this is the only time in the entire series that green units will fight you, and they come in from the south, so be ready for them.
