Well, I'm switching between FE5 and FE9 right now (FE10, too, when I buy it ), and since they games are so different.... I'm kind of confused about what to do in Chapter 15. I remember that you aren't supposed to kill the laguz, right? But I can't beat it without killing them. o_o

Oh, no you can go ahead and slaughter them if you feel you have to do so. I believe that if you leave them alive, you get more BEXP at the chapter's end though. I would get Stefan too, he might fit your Ronan standards.

The 1000 or so BEXP isn't worth it when you get more EXP from just killing them anyway. I'm sure I've heard of someone actually pulling off not killing them though.
You can kill them, you just get less BEXP. Me? I just plow right through them, since I don't really care about BEXP.

Omg! I knew I shouldn't have restarted just because I killed them all. I feel so bad now... And Stefan is cute, but he's not HOT. >_> Too fluffy.

Keeping the Laguz alive is only a requirement if you want the extra bonus experience. For me, I usually use only Elaice, Senerio (both Sages and at least one able to use Reblow (Physic)), Ike, Mordy, and Volke, all of whom are unequipped, though, admittedly, I do use the 255 Critical bug to one-shot Mwarim in the end.
If you'd rather have battle experience and weapon experience over bonus experience, just kill the Laguz.

Bug was only in the JAP version; it was fixed in the NA and Europe releases, so good luck trying to kill Muarim and leaving anyone else alive.

It might be possible to double team Mwarim with both mages, with Elfire, though that'd mean you'd also have to keep the second unit out of the ranges of the enemy Laguz long enough to reach Mwarim (one is hard enough). Honestly, though, it's easier to just bowl through them all.

I'm doing an Ike Solo playthrough on hard mode, and it would have been quite easy to walk up to Muarim with lots of vulneraries and an unequipped laguz sword to take him down (especially with an amazing Ike at 40hp, 20 strength/defense/speed, and an uncanny 14 resistance) without harming any of the other laguz. What made it hard was I wanted all the goodies in the sand, especially the guard skill, the boots, and statue frag (all musts for chapter 17, which is nearly impossible during an Ike solo), so I inevitably had to kill I few to get the items. Of course by only training Ike, I wasn’t really concerned about getting any BEXP anyways...

It is indeed possible to beat chapter 15 on Normal mode, at least, without killing any of the Laguz except Muarim. Of course, I had promoted Soren, Rhys, and Ilyana, and used them almost exclusively...
Oddly enough, I found it easier beat the chapter with no casualties on Normal mode than on Easy mode.
Can't speak for Hard mode, though, since I haven't gotten that far on Hard mode. I'd venture a guess that disarming your own men isn't a very good idea, though...

idk about hard, on maniac they all have transformation stones though. Overall I found it little different then normal accept they can actually attack all the time and have hard mode bonuses, they are set up no (or little) different then normal (I think that there might be a couple extra ones).

In JP Hard mode, there are no transformation stones; dunno about NA Hard. Can't speak for Hard mode, though, since I haven't gotten that far on Hard mode. I'd venture a guess that disarming your own men isn't a very good idea, though... In JP Hard, it's easily doable with disarmed units. With Senerio, Elaice, Ike, Mordy, and Volke, Senerio can take about 2 hits per turn; Elaice will rarely get attacked due to Shadow; Ike is going to attract everything, but can generally survive about 4 hits per turn, provided they're not all Tigers, Mordy is generally avoided, and Volke attempts to stay out of enemy range as much as possible (and is equipped to further deter enemies).
