Favorite Horseback Unit and Flying Unit

What is your fav horseback unit and flying unit from each game?  Horseback units could be anything: Paladins, Great Knights, Mage Knights, Troubadours, Bow Knights, Lord promoted knights (Roy, Leaf...).  Flying units are Pegasus, Wyvern, or Dragon/Gryphon riders.

Horseback Units
FE4: Cuan.  He's hot and I love his personality!  What happened to him and his wife are so sad.
FE5: Leaf.  Cuan's son.  Not as great as him but still!  ^__^  Nanna is close behind.  So is Eyrios. 
FE6: Clarine.  She's just like me!  And I love troubadours.  Her brother's a hottie, too.  I wonder if she ever got in a relationship with him...
FE7: Priscilla.  Priscilla x Raven is my favorite couple.  Troubadours all have hot older brothers.  o.o;
FE8: Ephraim.  Not the best, but I don't like the others much.
FE9: Astrid.  She's cute.

Flyers:
FE4: I forgot the first pegasus girl's name.  Fury?  I never got the other ones.
FE5: Eda.  I like her eyes. 
FE6: Thany.  Its funny how she always smiles.  And I love her relationship with Juno and Tate.
FE7: Farina.  Even though you had to pay a lot for her and she only came in Hector's... she's my fav peg knight of all time.  Florina is too shy and Fiora is like a female Kent.  ;
FE8: Syrene.  She's not that great... but she's pretty.
FE9: Marcia.  She was like my BEST unit.

FE6: Clarine; I like Percival a lot, too, but her massive avoid makes her much more fun to use.
FE7: Ursula; I don't care much for Priscilla Ursula is much prettier, anyway and I don't like and of the Cavaliers or Paladins
FE8: L'Arachel; I always do so well with her and I love Light magic, and I don't make any of the other magic units mounted
FE9: Mist; Yeah, I really love Valkyries... Geoffrey's okay, but I don't really like the Paladins. It's fun seeing Mist whack things with swords, too. ^^;
FE10: (Mist) Geoffrey; I use him more than any of the other mounted units, I suppose...

I really don't care for the Paladins at all, making my list kind of predictable.

FE5: Dean?
FE6: Miledy; Thany is okay, I hate Thite, Yunno...yeah...and I find Zeiss to be too low a level for my liking.
FE7: Farina; Always comes out better than the other pegs, or Heath, for me. I suppose Vaida is okay, though.
FE8: Cormag; all are okay, though. Except Valter. Yuck.
FE9: Tanith; I don't use any others...well, Elincia, but Tanith usually is better.
FE10: Haar; Jill and Elincia are also okay. I don't use the Pegs much.

FE3: Camus - For looking more awesome than the others. Abel is a close second.
FE4: Johan - Cool-looking and Brave Axe. Lex is second for the same reason.
FE5: Haven't gotten far enough.
FE6: Perceval - Still cool-looking. Lance is second for also looking cool.
FE7: Priscilla - She's pretty. Isadora is second for being useful on rank runs since Marcus is ugly.

FE3: Minerba - Looks slightly cooler than the other fliers. The rest, including Misheil, are close behind.
FE4: Altenna - For looking cool. Ferry is second.
FE5: Haven't gotten far enough.
FE6: Milady - For looking cool. Thite is second.
FE7: Flolina - A staple on my team. Fiora is a close second.
FE8: Turner - Her face sprite beat's Cugar's more than his official art beats hers. Cugar is second for his badass official art.
FE9: Erincia - Flying healer plus Amite. Jill is second.
FE10: Erincia - A godsend against crossbowmen. Jill is second.

Alright...

Horseback:

FE4: Aless. Mistoltin, demon sword, and he gets Lynn. Plus, as an awesome unit as his own, he's hard to beat. Unless you're using a Holsety-Arthur.
FE5: Hm... this is a tie between Nanna, Carrion, and Finn. Nanna because she has good growths, the Earth Sword, and is a mobile healer.  Carrion has awesome stats, and is the only non-mage knight (aside from Fred, but that's not saying much) that can use multiple weapons while mounted, and without promotion. Finn has the Hero's Spear, he comes very early, and is easy to level up. His growths may not be the best, but because he gives and recieves multiple support bonuses, plus the aforementioned Hero's Spear, Finn is a very good unit.
FE6: Clarine or Alan. Clarine is guarenteed to be awesome, and Alan never fails to disappoint. Both of these units are great, espically considering this game's difficulty. Clarine, dispite low magic power, destroys almost everything. Alan has very good growths, and because he is the stronger of the Kain/Abel variant, can kill enemies in one round. These two, FTW. Plus, Clarine is adorable.
FE7: Priscilla.  Similar to the Clarine reasons above, because she has good growths, is able to target the enemy's weakness, and is again, a healer.  She proves to be awesome, no matter what.  The Kain/Abel versions of this game don't match up with Priscilla, Lowen is a gamble, and Rath is too late to do any help. Therefore, priscilla.
FE8: Racheal. Again, similar to the two arguments above. Awesome growths, useful, and rarely turns out badly.  The otehr mounted units don't seem to compare, again. Franz is iffy, and Kyle/Forde are incredibly random. Plus, once racheal promotes, she obliterates EVERYTHING.
FE9: Oscar.  Joins early, awesome stats, and a balanced weapon. Plus, he's funny in many situations. Keiran helps in that regard, though.  As for teh others... there isn't too much else to say. Mist isn't usually a great character for the team, considering she can't do any damage unless you have a Sonic Sword for her, adn she has her weapon rank raised from E to B. (very hard in this game) Stella is completely random, Keiran isn't very reliable, and Makalov just blows. Oscar is best, by far.
FE10: Titania. Again, Mist is random. Oscar has poor strength, Keiran has horrid availability and stats, and no one else can really compare. Titania is easily the best.

Flying units:
FE4: Althenna. Awesome stats, Gaebolg, and gets sibling boost from Leaf, who is also awesome.  Fury usually needs a critial weapon (armorkiller, knightkiller) to do significant damage, or needs Finn's Hero spear to do an effeciant job. Fee is completely random, but gets a bonus from teh Fire Sword. However, it's not enough. Althenna takes it by far.
FE5: Karin. She is very effective as a Pegasus, and is even good indoors because you have to raise her sword level early in the 3/4 chapter Leaf-escapes-prison scenario. She has good growths, and a scroll can fix her weaker Strength growth. Dean and Eda come later, and Dean will usually need the Dragon Lance to stay a good contender, and Eda needs some babying. Misha is too much of a pain to recruit to even be considered. -__-;
FE6: Miledy. While I love Thany, she doesn't compare. Miledy turns out awesome--no matter what. She supports great units, and she doesn't really have any disadvantage. Zeiss comes late, can't double attack, while Miledy comes at the midpoint of the game, and has enough speed to double reliably.
FE7: Farina. Her stats, personality, and capability are too good/funny to pass up. Farina is awesome on the battlefield, and effectively makes up for the 20000 gold deficet. This is, of course, not in a ranked run. For rank, Florina, but otherwise Farina is just better. Florina comes very early, has the Lyn's mode advantage, and multiple supports. Farina outperforms her though.  Heath takes a lot of effort and doesn't have Farina's supports. Vaida is... vaida.  Farina wins. Fiora is decent, but is weaker than her siblings.
FE8: Cougar. Seriously, he's a freaking death machine.  Vanessa isn't as stable, and Thana will turn out oddly. Cougar just obliterates the opposition.
FE9: Marcia. She is a tank, and is better than Jill in this game. Harr comes late, and is a little iffy. Tanith is pitiful, and Elincia is a healer that comes too freaking late for her own good.
FE10: Harr. He... good god, freaking broken. Marcia is greatly nerfed in this game, and Jill comes with the DB, so she is underlevelled for 2/3 of the game. Harr just... OWNS. fear the eyepatch.

I really, really wanted to post "because he's badass" or "because she's so pretty!" on almost all of my choices... but I figured it'd be overkill. I didn't put a second except for FE8 mounted, but Perceval would have been my second for his solid endgame stats (useable and good), HM bonuses, and looks. I do like both Lance and Alen, but Perceval and Klein are my two love affairs in this game.
Florina's always been a staple for me (even though I love Fiora and Farina too, and am almost always satisfied with their results).

Horseback:

FE4: Ares: Mistlelin, Mistlelin, and Mistlelin. And because you couldn't get Eltosian. Oh, and he gets Lynn.
FE5: Carrion: Well...he was cool. I didn't really like the other mounted units much.
FE6: Percival: Because he's awesome?

FE8: Forde. I just liked him since he never took fighting serious enough. Painting on the battlefield, hahaha.

Bk1: Hardain-One of the most original looking characters in FE, and a prince, real powerful too.
FE4: Sigurd-Yay an awesome lord for once!  Powerful a rebel in many's eyes, cool as hell.
FE5: Fin-Gets an awesome personal weapon, tied to FE4, powerful
FE6: Clarine-Got to love the attitude, very useful through whole game
FE7: Sain-The ladies man, all female supports, powerful
FE8: Ephraim-Super powerful, a pretty cool lord I guess

FE3, Bk1: Chiki-Adorable, one of a kind, anti dragon breath, a flying tank
FE4: Altena-Divine weapon, tragic figure used by Trabant
FE5: Karin-Mage killer, great with wind sword indoors
FE6: Miledy-Looks badass, and can fight an army by herself
FE7: Fiora-Best looking of peg sisters, and peg is all about res and she has the most

FE2: Matilda. There was really no need for any other Knights when she was around.
FE3 Book 1: Roshe, for being the most awesome social knight in the game.
FE3 Book 2: Kain. If it weren't for Roshe, he would have been my pick for book 1.
FE4: Sigurd. Badass lord and cavalry unit and not a broken cheapo like Leaf.
FE5: I'm at a tie with Hicks and Roberto. They both were consistantly useful for me.
FE6: Shin, but only because of his horse.
FE7: Don't care.
FE8: Deussel I suppose. Didn't really like horseback units in this game...

FE2: Est. She's just too good!
FE3: Est. Too good again (I could care less that she starts at a low level late game. That's what the arena is for!)

FE5: Eda. She turns out quite well despite her low starting level (plus I like that look she has in her mug!).

FE8: Cormag. He's among the best Dragon Knights in the series (and the only unit I really like in the GBA series).

FE3: Book 1-Hardin; I love that turbaned look, though his personality revolts me . Book 2-Sirius; the original Black Knight, need I say more?
FE4: Aless/Leaf; one is yet another BK and Leaf is actually worth something here.
FE5: Alva-Yes, I said it.
FE6: Ick. Percival is the only one worth considering in any case but stats.
FE7: Sain; same case as Percy.
FE8: No good horsemen here, though if I had to choose, Seth fits the bill.
FE9/FE10: Titania.

Flying
FE3: I prefer Katua above everyone else. She never starts at a low level and absolutely kills with a killer/silver lance.
FE4: Altenna's the only real choice.
FE5: Karin. How many peg knights do you see with capped strength?
FE6: It is a tie between Miledy and Tate.
FE7: Fiora, for being the only admirable sister and able to fall in love with Eliwood.
FE8: Valter rules in both class and characterization.
FE9: Tanith was the only one I ever bothered to use, if only for Reinforce.
FE10: Massive improvement for fliers, especially Haar. He gave that wyvern some kind of steroids.

For the Horseback Units, I'll only count units which start on a horseback class. Meaning that units like Celice, FE4!Leaf, Ephraim, Ranger!Neimi and Mist, as much as I like them, especially in Celice's case where he ties with Ares as fave char in that game, won't be counted in.

FE1 will be counted in FE3 ; I haven't played FE5 long enough to have a solid opinion on the units of this game, so I won't discuss on it, and since I haven't played FE10 yet, I won't discuss about it either.

 

Horseback :


FE2 : None that really struck my attention, really.

FE3 : Sirius, by far. As a Paladin hater (I just don't like that class, I find it way too mediocre except in FE9 where they're awesome), that fellow is one of the three major exceptions to this rule. That guy freakin' rocks, both combat and story-wise. ~o~

FE4 : Ares, again by far, since I don't count Celice. Despite being a Paladin, has the wonderful Mistoltin, excellent stats, superb Skill set. He is, if not the most useful, one of the most useful units of the game, is an awesome badass, and has a nice storyline. And he has a sweet relationship with Lynn, my third fave char of this game. ~o~

FE6 : Clarine. That girl is an awesome loveable brat who has a cute, scenario-wise, and deadly, combat-wise, support with Rutger, and is a killer dodge machine combat-wise. What's not to love in her ? ^^
I might get to like Percival in HM mode when I'll get to it, despite him being a Paladin. He may become the fourth exception to my Paladin-hate.

FE7 : Priscilla by far. Awesome combat and healing unit, I way prefer using her other any of the Sages of this game. And she's cute. "~^

FE8 : Meh... I'd say Duessel. I don't like Forde, Kyle, and L'Arachel, and I'm not an uber fan of Franz ; I only use the latter because of his cute Support with Amelia, who happens to be one of my fave chars of this game. By the way, I mentioned Duessel mainly because of his Support with her (and the one he has with Cormag as well), and for his general backstory, rather than for his performances combat-wise.

FE9 : Astrid, again by far. One of my Holy Trio of FE9 chars along with Ike and Nephenee. I have to admit all Paladins are good in this game, but for me, she definitely stands out of all of them, both combat, personality, and backstory-wise. And I'm one of the rare people who likes a very lot her relationship with Makalov (although I also like a lot her Supports with Gatorie. Until FE10 came along, I switched from those two in A-Support with her every playthrough. Now I A-Support her with Maka every time, except in the case I don't use him while using Gatorie, in which case Gatorie gets the A-Support).




Flying :


FE2 : Katua, Paola and Est are really nice, but I oddly prefer Clea. Can't tell why.

FE3 : Sheeda, by VERY far. Awesome combat unit, and I simply ADORE her as a character. I was really happy when I discovered, while I was translating from Japanese to English and French FE3's ingame Perfect Ending (in other words, from a very official source) that she married Marth. ~o~

FE4 : Claude!Fee for me. Yes, while I DO like Altenna a lot, I prefer this version of Fee other the female Dragon Knight. She's simply the best Support unit of the game thanks to being a flying unit who can use B-Staves (thanks to Blagi blood) Libro and Sleep/Silence Staves, and can use them efficiently.
Altenna is very powerful, but the problem is that she gets the worst useable combat Holy Weapon of the game (even though the Gae Bolg is still a nice weapon to have, though) : the abusive weight of this weapon, combined with a low Speed cap and very low MDEF, hampers her greatly against strong Axe-users and especially Mages, the latter who clutter FE4's last chapters, where she joins in.

FE6 : I'd say Miledy. Very powerful and useful. And because the Pegasus Knights in this game aren't very good.

FE7 : Florina, by VERY, VERY, VERY far. My fave FE series char. Awesome combat unit, adorably cute (and by far the prettiest sister of the three), absolutely loveable personnality, and uber sweet Support with Hector. 'Nuff said. ~o~

FE8 : Tana, by far. One of my top fave chars in the FE series, a killing machine in combat, especially as a Wyvern Knight, and I love her personnality and Supports.

FE9 : I'd say Elincia. I'm a fan of flying combat and healing units, even if she comes very late in game. I reserve her a place in my main party in most of my playthroughs. I'm not a fan of both Marcia and Jill (they're rather interchangeable and plain units for me, even though I always use one of them in all my playthroughs), and I don't like Tanith much, so indeed Elincia.

FE8: Duessel, my saving grace in Ephraim Hard Mode Pirate Ship.
FE9: Titania, she is very well rounded with Axes, the most powerful weapon.
FE10: Astrid, she turned out very good when I used her.

Flying:
FE7: Farina, godly STR and DEF wins her the prize.
FE8: Tana, best of the Pegs, Cormag is a little too hard to recruit in Eirika mode.
FE9: Tanith, powerful with many reinforcements.
FE10: Haar, where he flies, no enemies remain. Elincia is a close second.

FE10: Titania.  Jeigan no longer, she's simply godlike (goddesslike?  Is it odd the my units would make a better goddess than Ashera any day of the week? )  Mist is close, though.  Slaughtering Spirits and taking no damage?  How could I say no?

FE9: Jill.  Red Death.
FE10: HAAR.  His Dragonlord sprite looks like the friggin' Black Kinght on a wyvern.

Jill and Elincia are both close behind.  I just finished my first playthrough of RD; no surprise at all that Haar was first and Jill second.

FE4 Gen 1: Sigurd. 9 mov and being able to one-round from the start?
FE4 Gen 2: Levin!Arthur. Not only does he have looks covered, but he's also with you for the entire second generation, spamming Holsety and being unbeatable pretty much always. Wrath is very cool as well.
FE5: I think I like Fin the best. Great backstory, and unlike Carrion, no dumb personality/face combination.
FE6: Clarine has personality, the others not so much.
FE7: I think Sain's my favourite here overall.
FE8: If Mage Knight Lute counts, I'm all in. Otherwise Franz or Seth.

Wings
FE4: Fee is cool and available, but Altenna is so broken when you have her it's not funny.
FE5: Definitely Karin. Yay for capping Speed before you're even out of Manster. I also like Dean for his looks and Dragon Lance.
FE6: Miledy. All others blow ;.;
FE7: Either Florina or Farina I guess, I don't like any of them that much.
FE8: Vanessa. Hi, enemies have 0 hit on me
