Amalda is really weird...  First, I thought she was a he, and I thought he was hot... until the priest guy called him a her!    Next, she comes out of the church with Ralf and kills the brigands coming from the fort.  I thought she was cool (in a Zelda/Sheik/heshe sort of way), so I decided to send Leaf over the mountains with Karin to try to recruit her.  I later find out that she can't be recruited in this chapter ( =( ), so I got Ralf instead (not like I'll use him).  When she decides to leave, the boss comes over and attacks her and his goons block her path.  I guess this started to glitch her up or something so she just started moving in circles.  I tried to block her path to get her off the map, but she ends up running toward the church and standing there...  Now she doesn't move and always ends her turn on the church, and I can't finish the chapter.  -.-;  What do I do?

And I was surprised when she used Heal on Ralf when he got hurt.  If she's a Paladin, why does she only use Swords and Staves!?  Wouldn't that make her a Valkyrie like Nanna?

She's a paladin 'cause she is.  She just would rather wield staves

You mean you never went to the church at all?  Unless it only activates after you visit, you clear the chapter by choosing to get one route or the other (exits are arrows on the east and west sides of the map) >.>

I think Amalda can join with Conomore can.  Or earlier--I can't recall

They join in the same chapter I believe, but which you can recruit depends on which route you took (you need Miranda from Route B to get Conomoore, and Sleuf from route A to get Amalda).

Also, she technically is the same class as Nanna... If you promote Nanna, you'll see that she becomes a female paladin, too.

You're... Different. We all are. Him especially. But there's something kinda fantastic about that, isn't there?

Just exit the map using one of the arrows.

Male Paladins use swords and lances.
Female Paladins use swords and staves.

It's been like that ever since FE4. Note that Valkyries don't exist until later games. Troubadours are really just the female version of Social Knights here, with the same weapon difference as their promoted class.

And yes, you can only get one of Amalda/Conomore, and only at a later chapter. During the route, you will face the Paladin you didn't recruit. I would recommend taking their items and killing them off during that route-split chapter rather than wait until you face them again, as later on is clearly a more chaotic map. Amalda has the Blaggi scroll and Conomore has the Awareness manual.
