Self explanatory. I check fathom events, but I don't see any specific theaters it's playing at. I really want to go see it, as Death Note is my 2nd favorite anime ever.

So, anyone else gonna try to go see it?

EDIT: Found out how to find theaters. The closest one to me is about 50 miles away......

ROAD TRIP!

Yep. Already got tickets for me and my brother about a week back. It's times like this when I'm glad I live in a big city.  Just 20 minutes away.

Anyways, it should be interesting (not in the least because of the people watching. Bets on how many show up in cosplay?)

Yup, the live action movie.

==Oh. Well, I thought it was okay.

It was markedly different from the anime in a few ways.

Indeed.  If we're talking about the second one, I thought the ending was greatly improved.

Go to the theaters to see something that I can easily see online, and without a mediocre [though, admittedly, not terrible] english dub? Doubt it.

That it was, but it was an official DVD, I don't know for sure if it was some kind of international release cause it sure didn't look fake from the menu screen to the DVD box.

I saw it last Wednesday.

That was amazing. They brought all of the characters to life really nicely, especially L. Matsuda was done really well too. "NICE ONE!" I liked the changes they made too.
