I go to both for training my units. Arena for Eirika, and Tower for my other units in SS...

Yeah me to i train my weak units on towers especially for bosses cuz they dont move and arena cuz they gain some fast exp!

Neither. I ignore the tower and use the arena if my units have nothing better to do but I don't abuse it (like, I use it if there is no enemy in range and X unit hasn't moved).

I'd take arena if I were to powerlevel in either because of more EXP per fight, more interesting fights (come on, monsters are boring), you don't use weapons and you actually receive money for winning. But I usually do neither to keep the fun in the game.

Arena, but only if I'm bored(I sometimes save a file on a chapter with an Arena and kill time) or during the course of the chapter(i.e. don't kill everyone except boss and start AA-ing). Monsters suck; they lack substance and variety and Creature Campaign is absolutely pointless, but by then, it won't matter anyway.

But after the game, I train every unpromoted unit in the Tower and every promoted unit in the Ruins. Untill I get bored and start a new game.

I usually raid the tower every so often. I don't know if that could be considered "training" since I only use characters that I don't plan on using normally.

I spam the arena, ruins and tower, both during and after the original campaign. I usually wind up getting all my characters to twenty-twenty before restarting a file.

The few times I ever play this game, I ignore both, I might use the tower to get the recruits promoted to the non-promoted class (heh). I will occasionally use the arena mostly just to watch the fight for some laughs if i am bored.

Tower. It is needed to train the rookie units Amelia,Ross,and Ewan. It might be possible to level up Amelia during the chapters. Ross can be trained during the chapters as he comes earliest. Ewan comes to late, so he has to be trained in the Tower to get any good.

In Ephraim Route, I use the Arena in the chapter you get Lachelle, because Arena Abuse is properly possible in that map.
Otherwise, I Arena as much as I can and then hope I have enough weapons to support my "trainee" (the character that I am training) to reach the boss on the first floor of Valni and finish it off, and then retreat since the other enemies, unless they hold a Killer weapon, is not worth weapon usage.

Tower Definately, it provides the greatest of all the experience gains... you can train all units there as well... and if you have what I call Wall units(Any Unit with a Defense of over 20) you can train your trainee units safely.

But L'Arachel joins on Phantom Ship...arena's generally don't stand on ships... Unless you meant the chapter after that, where you can first pick her, and where she's first available if you don't talk to her on Phanton Ship. |

I prefer the tower. I just can't stand the arenas, as it's too risky for your units. Maybe if they balanced it out a bit, they would be better. Like no matter what kind of weapon the enemy has, be it iron, steel, or silver, your unit ALWAYS has an IRON weapon! Or in the magical case, fire or lightning. WTF is up with that?
When I send a unit into the arena, only to get OHKO'd by a knight, it makes me hate arenas...

I guess arena when i can and tower otherwise, lvling unpromoted chars to 15+ and promoted to 5 or so at tower every time i get a new char.
