This is probably very old, but I just noticed that it's apparently possible to extract and re-install Wii save files (if you have a SD card). The obvious question to ask is, has anybody tried this for FE10 and tried hacking the save file?

I have a copy of a savefile and it looks notoriously easy to edit, but unfortunately I don't have a Wii so...

If you show me how to hack a Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn game save,I might try and see if its true.

I can't recall if you needed the encryption key for saves too, which would explain why no one bothered with them before.  But since it's been out for months now...

You could also use the SDGecko (I think) to act as a cheat device and actually modify the RAM, last I saw

Oh yeah... that's what stopped me from doing it myself.
When I read about the encryption keys, I didn't bother trying to modify them.

Either you can copy the save through the Wii Menu onto an SD card then try to decrypt and re-encypt the save (I don't know if anyone has managed this though, as far as I know the key that is out is the one for discs, not the SD card key) or you use homebrew applications to extract the save file.

The latter is prefered since there will be no encryption. Though i'm not sure if an application to put the save back exists though.

Yeah, there's some homebrew that will extract and insert saves without being encrypted.  GBATemp can take care of your needs.

You need to have at least the Twilight Princess exploit, I think, though to initially get your Wii into the position of booting external code.
