Thought I'd open a art thread as well, though I can't say I'm really good at drawing. I'm just doing it for fun.... as an alternation to studying. So don't expect any masterpieces... ^^; But of course, I'm open to any kind of constructive criticism! http://kamikaze-kaito.deviantart.com/art/1-Lord-FE-80589836- Hector; theme "Lord" for the 100-FE-themes-challenge This one looks just like one of Tir's drawings but except that the guy in it has a different face, no comment on this one, nice job. http://kamikaze-kaito.deviantart.com/art/52-Conquer-FE-80671766- theme "Conquer" for the 100-FE-themes-challenge This one is very nice, but other than Geitz' right eyebrow going a little lower than his left one, this one is kawaii. http://kamikaze-kaito.deviantart.com/art/Happy-B-Day-Marureenu-84036951- A generic Rhys x Mia picture Doesn't Ryhs' right arm look a little too boxy, as it needs work, but seeing Mia in it made me blush. http://kamikaze-kaito.deviantart.com/art/35-A-Bond-FE-85659916- A not so generic Matthew x Leila picture Doesn't her eye look a little too shiny, part of her cornea isn't showing, but another practice art I'm sure. Please, read the artist's comment in the link... I'm too lazy to type it out again. *brick'd* Sorry, I know, I'm lazy. ^^; More are yet to come, and I'm looking forward to your comments! ^^~

Ahhh, you're posting up your art. Huzzah! 8D Anyways, um...if there is anything you'll like me to critique, I will. ; I don't feel obliged to because you do drawing as a hobby. But your chibi work is always very cute. =w=

@Aya: ... Show me the picture by Tir, and don't make baseless accusations. @Tir: *glomps back* Tir~ X3 Yeah.... Still, thanks for the tip! I know, hands and anatomy are my biggest problems... Which doesn't leave much I actually CAN draw.  ;; @aznswordmaster1: That's because she's leaning forward.  Though I guess I simplified it a bit too much.... @RoyLover: Thank you! ^^~ Uhm, if there's anything that stands out a lot, please tell me.... And I'll try working on it. You don't have to go into detail, but if there's some really obvious mistake, point it out please. ^^;

Sorry for the lack of updates... I was really busy in RL... ^^; Anyways, here goes: http://kamikaze-kaito.deviantart.com/art/23-Cant-be-anyone-but-you-FE-87836236Something I'm really proud of, since the coloring turned out rather well. I'd appreciate serious critics on this one very much! http://kamikaze-kaito.deviantart.com/art/a-pony-FE-89137002Another piece which I'm proud of, since I did it with tablet only. Please read the artist's comment below for more info. ^^; I hope necro-posting here is okay; however, I read the rules, and they say you may necro and double in your own art thread, so I hope it's alright... ^^;

I remember looking at them. As for a small critique? You creatively hid Serra's legs! Very cute. And the second one is hilarious! !!! The pony is so adorable. =3=

 ; Thanks! I suck at drawing kneeling people so much, and I wanted this one to turn out well.... So that's why I hid the legs like that. ^^; X3 Thank you, I'm glad you like it~ Aaaaanyways, I have a new sketch here: http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/8760/raixkarigl8.jpgAgain, I'd appreciate serious critics on this one, since I still can change stuff here.... And I want it to turn out in a nice way.

The guy in the tie looks like he has a really big forehead just from where the bangs start from.

Whoa, it's Kamikaze! Hello!
Like Azn said, the guy's forehead (and hair) looks pretty big in comparison to his face, which looks a tad small for his body. Maybe move the face up and make it bigger? The vague outline of the head is about the right size. Also, his forearms seem to be different sizes. His left (our right) going into his pocket looks really long (maybe show where his wrist starts and the arm ends), but his right (our left) looks short compared to it. Hm, this might just be a personal preference, but maybe move his right hand more to the right side of her head (to the left of the picture)? And...the guy's collar looks a bit flat and curved on the sides for an unpopped collar, but that might be the style.
Other than that, though, I think you did a rather nice job on the anatomy. I like the general feel, and for some reason, I really really like how you did the girl's right hand. You also do clothing folds pretty well!
Nice work. =)

And I want it to turn out in a nice way. Eyes are ALWAYS at the center line of the head. Divide the head into one half, vertically, and that's where the eyes are. Take a look at real pants with pockets, if you would please. Crouch divide is a LOT lower then what you have here--especially for men jeans. Where are his hips--and while we're at it, where is the girl's hips, and navel line? And where is the guy's navel line, again. (ohho! serious critiques! Ok. *takes off gloves*) Define your eyeline. No, not "the line that defines the eyes on the face", I mean the line across the canvus that if you took a cylinder, or box, and you raised it on the page, you would stop seeing the top side of it. Reason being is that the collar actually drapes on two cylinders, the neck and the chestbox-shoulders. It would take more of a cylinder shape, liking to the neck itself. Same with the sleeves, the belt, the dress, the lower part of her blouse. Your pocket are lacking volume, remember, the wrist is a cylinder, make sure if you have a hand in pocket, it reflects that shape. The forearm that is behind the sister, on the sister's head, is short.

Whoa, thank you everyone for the detailed (and really serious) critic, it helped a lot! X3 http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/2699/raixkarireloadfc0.jpgSo, I changed a few things. I revised Rai's (the guys') head- I made it smaller, and put the eyes a little higher up; something was bugging me about it anyways, so thanks for pointing it out, Azn, Leila and Tybalt! ^^ Also, I let the crotch divide of Rai's pants slide down quite a bit, I hope it's right that way. Next thing- I "lowered" his upper arm a bit (the circle in Kari's chest shows where his elbow is), so the lengths match. Then I tried to give the pocket more volume, I don't know if it worked... ^^; Ah yes, and I changed Rai's collar a bit, I hope it looks better now... I didn't have the time yet to reference it off a real shirt. As for the hips, I tried to show them a little more.... again, I don't know if it worked. Tybalt, I'm not sure if I understood everything you said the right way (since I'm no native speaker ^^; ), but I especially thank you for the very detailed critics and tips you gave me.

Try looking at this for reference on the dress shirts. ((Don't mind the text. I stole the image from some sort of online store. )) When you draw the collar of a dress shirt, image that there's a piece of thin tubing that runs under the collar and around the character's neck. The collar lifts up a little, and as Tybalt said, drapes in a three-dimensional fashion. Building up your shading can also help make the collar look a bit more stiff and rounded.
