FE:DS Release Date

Since this is the current FE:DS board I'm certain its fine that I post this here.

FE:DS comes out in Japan on August 7th of this year.

I originally saw the date on Joystiq and then later found out that it was also on Serene's.  So, I guess... discuss.

Considering the lack of media, that seems kind of early.

Hopefully it's not being rushed.

It'll be almost a year since the game first got some images publicized, and even, the game undoubtedly had some work put into before then.  It doesn't seem too short to me

But it still looks like America and Europe won't be getting this game until early/late 2009, respectively, if it comes out at all.

Early/late 2009?  The translation job should be only six months worth.  I doubt it's going to be that much meatier than FE7, and I heavily doubt it's meatier than FE10.

I don't know... As far as I know, there were 7 months between the release of FE7 in Japan and its release in the US, and that probably is the best ruler to measure the release gap for FE DS too. But in that case, it'll come out in the US in March.

Point taken about Europeans getting it in late 2009, though. I guess FE10 was pretty meaty for an FE game, and the fact that Europe got FE10 more than a year after Japan did is the exception rather than the rule.

There was also NTSC -> PAL stuff they had to do AND the translation to other languages (since NOE isn't just english).  Here, it's going to just be translation since DS is region free.  I guarantee you it's not gonna be that long.
