Hello, everyone! Welcome to the FESS Art Forum!
The purpose of this forum is to provide members with a place to express themselves visually. Whether you're into drawing, painting, computer graphics, photography, print-making, splatter painting, sculpture or otherwise, feel free to post your art here for comments, critique and praise. Open discussion on styles, techniques, artists, etcetera are also accepted, and encouraged.
Posting Rules:- Feel free to post whatever you like in terms of subject matter. It's not required that posts pertain to Fire Emblem.
- Pinned topics are always open for posting, despite the necroposting rule.
- Artists are entitled to one active thread at a time for posting their work. After a thread dies, artists have the option of reviving their old topics, or [make new ones]* if they'd like to dissociate themselves from past art work that no longer reflects upon their skill. ((*Within reason. This doesn't mean that you should be making new topics every two weeks. Try to stick to one thread, if possible.)) Double posting is allowed, as long as the second post contains an update of some sort.
- This is sort of a given, but please don't hijack another artist's thread if you want to show off your artwork-- make your own topic and set it up however you like.
- Regarding Hentai/Pornographic Images/Offensive Images: Images and/or links of this nature are inappropriate for FESS and are strictly not allowed. I will gleefully delete any posts or topics I see dealing with material of this sort. No exceptions. Again, if you have a concern, please check with me first before posting. (Better safe than sorry.)
*Artistic nudity is regarded as inappropriate content for FESS and is therefore also prohibited.
- Regarding Plagiarism: Plagiarism, the act of stealing, copying or failing to credit another artist's work, is strictly prohibited. Anyone who violates this rule is busted and gone for good. Please report plagiarism to me or another staff member ASAP.
Etiquette:- Be polite and mature when posting comments and/or critical critiques. It takes a lot of courage for artists to put their work out in the open, so consider their feelings and be respectful of your peers. Bashing and/or rude behavior is not allowed.
- Put some thought into your replies before responding to a posted artwork-- mention what you like or don't like about the piece and offer up some suggestions for improvement. Posts like "Wow! Great!" or "Hmm... Could be better..." are pointless and add virtually no value to discussion. Think before you post.
Policy on Avatar/Signature Requests:Due to the overwhelming number of requests for avatars, signatures and other personalized graphics this board has seen in the last few weeks, a new request policy has been stamped out by the staff and myself:
- From now on, all requests for avatars, signatures and/or other customized graphics will be put in one, all encompassing thread, as opposed to making a new topic for each individual request.
- If you are a maker of personalized graphics, feel free to make your own thread for answering the requests of others.
- Requests for original art are permitted to have their own threads.
Good Example: Asking for an artist to draw an original picture of Eliwood.
Bad Example: Asking for someone to edit and resize Eliwood's official art-- this belongs in the request thread.

This thread will remain open for questions and discussions so please don't hesitate to post if you have a concern. Also-- feel free to drop suggestions for the board here.
