Has anyone heard of this yet?  It's nothing too big, but while my Eddie (Edward) was asleep, I knocked him a couple times.  Apparently, each space moved detracts from the turns left of sleep, 'cause he woke up after three smacks north.

Just another little quirk~

Old'd. This is actually mentioned in the tutorial that you can shove someone to wake them up.

This reminds me of my topic way back on FESS4 when I learned that axes do more damage against doors and fences and the like. >_>  I think it helps to read the tutorial every now and then, I guess.

Does Smiting take off two turns or one?

Axes do more damage? Are you sure it's not because of axe users having high Str and Axes having high Mt?

Axes do 10 more damage to gates and doors than lances.  I've tested before and it's even on the Guide window thing.

I never knew... But then again, I value W EXP more than destroying it in one hit.

What door can't be killed in one hit?  Don't all of them have 20HP?

EDIT: Actually, I remember a few having more. (PII Endgame for one.  >_>)  I don't usually break them down anyway, so I guess it's just a lack of my own experience... (Personal experience means nothing... I mean what?  :-P)

Back on topic: I Discovered that "technique," if you will, on accident.  PIII Endgame I was trying to rescue my Ike (his one weakness, but it really only affects his counter-attacking...) with Mordecai and Shoved by accident.  Next turn I looked and saw he was one turn closes to waking up than what he should be.  :-P

It's more important in FE9 than it is in FE10 due to a lot more indoors maps.

Well that's new.  It was included in FE9 as well?  I'm ashamed to call myself a follower of the series...

Guess they needed something to "freshen up" the gameplay.  Bah, when I could Astra + Sonic Sword glitch the door or just use a key I'd rather not waste time using an axe over another type of weapon.  >_> Then again, that's only me...

I believe axes get double (or was it triple?) might, not +10 damage, when attacking doors. After all, in the game data, all axes have data for effective bonus against unit type 'DOORBREAK'.

Care to test it out, ID?  I would, but it's 4:18 AM and my parents are asleep (the Wii/Gamecube are in their room).

If that's the case and I actually didn't even know that...

I would test it but both PoR and RD are on loan...

If I understood this topic... I'm the only one who reads ever tutorial in a game despite having played plenty of that series just because I want to see everything of the game? That's kinda sad, you missed a lot. I really love the tutorial about talking to others to have them join.

Blue Soldier: "Hey, you want to join us?"
Green Soldier: "Sure, I'm tired of being green anyway..."

Truly epic. >.<

I have tested it previously to confirm things for myself, but I currently have no save file close enough and not quite enough free time to get there, either. I'm fairly certain it's multiplied might, I just can't remember the muliplier (I keep getting myself mixed up between 2 and 3 since they like to change between games and between versions).

Also note that I'm playing the JP version of FE9 and FE10, so the multiplier could still be different.

Multiplier in FE9 was x2 and FE10 was x3.

I was checking my old FESS4 topic and I said that Boyd did 50 damage instead of 40...  then I realized it was a Short Axe doing the damage (10 might) so that doesn't really help either.  And atm I have no saves for any door chapter.

I just played Chapter 21 or whatever in Souen (FE9), the chapter with Tauroneo and Ena.  Hitting doors seemed to do a little more damage with axes, but not much from what I could tell.  An average it looked about 8, 10 more than what my Swordmasters were doing--but it's not like I was paying attention to it.  Axes mostly used were Hand Axes
