Get Evil Eye (or Crimson Eye, or Demon Surge) and equip it to someone who can kill the others, but isn't a mage. Then go in the Link Arena and go on a killing spree!

That sounds like one interesting glitch. I'll have to try that sometime.

So, in other words, if a link arena battle is done using map animations rather than full battle animations, a death will prompt the death script to play (whereas, I assume, a death during a battle animation will not prompt the script, yes?)? Interesting indeed.

Yeah, I've hacked a demon surge from an enemy but I only use it with Myrrh and Knoll, I'm afraid I'll screw up my file.

Ive done that glitch so much now its child's play to me. Just make sure you do NOT give them Stone, to the non magic users. Heck you can even use Demon Surge, Evil Eye, ShadowStone to Priests and Clerics. Nothing bad happens. Those spells don't raise the person to have an E rank in Dark magic.

Already been well-documented. Stone gives 5 weapon experience to Dark. All other monster dark magic gives zero. If any physical unit gains a point of experience in any magical weapon, for example a Swordmaster with an E in staves, even, they will automatically use their ranged animations while using any normally-usable weapon type (a Warrior would use the regular Hand Axe animation with any ranged axe, freeze when using a non-ranged axe, and use the regular Bow animation with any bow, for example). This isn't a glitch per se, as no unit was ever intended to have both physical and magical weapons, and it causes few gameplay problems (most notable are non-ranged axes freezing the game since they lack a ranged animation, and killing a boss freezing the game as the death is not triggered properly), and no problems at all if you turn animations off. Well thought out Ice Dragon. Though I wish there were a similar way in Fe7 or fe6.

This glitch is risky to do on the actual cart as it could mess it up, better try it on a ROM.
