Excellent, the trailers for WALL-E were better then some actual full-length movies.

I'm so hyped on watching it now.

I'm kinda looking forward to this movie, though half of my friends and family seem to think I'm now the most immature person because of it.  So what?- I'm a sucker for robots.  :-P

EDIT: We'll see if I ever get around to seeing it, though.

I saw it yesterday and thought it was actually rather heavy-handed for a children's film. The main premise of the movie--which I won't spoil--definitely went over the heads of most of the children in the audience and really targeted the adults. Aside from the movie’s cute robots, colorful imagery, and obligatory moments of humor, I really didn’t find it immature at all because the plot was just so... bleak.

That said, I agree that was totally awesome.

I would think they'd make it so the parents would have something to watch, since their kids are making them take them to the theater and all. Kind of like Disney movies having adult jokes in them to keep the parents entertained. I mean the kids are just going to be happy seeing a robot. Screw plots.

That said, I haven't seen it yet but I really want to.

This post pretty much sums up all my feelings. The trailers did not make me excited for the movie at all, but I guess I'll give it a shot. Hancock definitely comes first though.

Just noting this now: I have yet to stumble upon one bad review of Wall E. That said, I'll be seeing this tonight, and will be happy to report back in on it.

Well then, I'll give it a shot.  Thanks for the info; I like comedy, but I prefer serious dramas/plots.  I don't know why I'm still playing Pokemon on that reasoning though...

Without giving anything away, I'll say that Wall E is one of the best films I've seen in a while. It's beautiful, not just visually, either, though it does get really Disney at times.

Go see it.

I'm going to see this in the later afternoon.

I saw the previews like last year, and was just like, "Psssh, just another kids' movie", but then Wall-E got so much coverage in local newspapers, and garnered great reviews... so I'm going!

Quite honestly, I find that children's movies tend to disappoint me far less often than any action, drama, or horror movie. Wall-E has turned out to be no exception to this rule, as it and Kung Fu Panda were better movies to me than The Happening, The Strangers, Zohan, and generally anything else that came out this summer. Wanted was okay, but I didn't like it as much as those two (and naturally, I am witholding my judgement on Hancock until I see it).

Wall-E has an official DMAJohnson Seal of Approval. If you haven't seen this movie yet, then I pronounce you uncultured swine.

I'm honestly not sure why people view this movie as so "dark". The Incredibles was far darker (although I am loathe to use that term). It's not in the premise, it's in how you work with it, and Wall-E adds a lot of sugar to the mix.
