Not sure if it's worthy of its own topic, but this seems like the best option to me. (Image from Amazon Japan) I think it looks alright, but it does seem strange that they decided not to use any characters this time.

Its a near certainty that the US boxart will have characters on it. The European boxart could go either way though :S
Shame the boxart is too low res to get the game code off it, NTR-????-JPN. I think ???? is FEEA.
Back in the old days (6 months ago) we could have used that to look up any online activity on the game (as in beta testing) but since Nintendo are killjoys or consumers are not meant to know how many connections games have we can't do that anymore...

Looks very... new, but I suppose it must keep that for the namesake~
It'd always be nice to see the back of the box. What's so special about the front D:

I would say the front is the part people see in stores BUT with the DS situation in Japan of just so many games out and coming out you have to line up games by spine becuase there just isn't the shelf space any other way...maybe for the first week or two you'll have it on the shelf cover side
I would have thought this is also why the dreaded CERO age ratings appeared on spines but I think that was a change to regulations across the board. Which included the ratings being re-written into simple letters and not Kanji

I would've thought re-drawing the Famicom FE Boxart in the new artstyle would've been a more interesting boxart. But then again, I don't take good care of boxes anyhow.

Again, as long as it comes out Stateside, I don't care what the boxart looks like. Still, it's something to look at to pass the time waiting for it come out...

I think the boxart is more important than the game! I keep my boxart forever... the game is just there to finish in a few hours.

Comments on the boxart: Looks boring, just like the game itself. If they made the game much more exciting I'm sure there would be an impact on the boxart...

It's a shame, Fire Emblem has had a history of rich, vibrant art featured on the cover. This is a disappointment.

You have not had the pleasure of holding Seisen's box then, I presume. It is one of the few in the series which does not warrant the same attention, if only for the horrid art style Personally, I think Fuuin's box is the best. I was just noticing how clean the art is on the box as I was packing it away. I could make out each little individual character perfectly

THey do need better box art than this. Try putting Marth on the front cover, as I am looking forward into his new official artwork.

I don't dislike it, but I don't like it too much either. It's plain, and it gets the job done, but...

Has it? I never found it particularly special... I'll admit a few (6/7/9) were pretty good, but for the most part they don't really stand out to me.
