They're trying REALLY hard to make the characters look more "badass" and less "Cutesy" like in FE3. Hah.
At the moment the oddest thing about this style is the apparent perception of the characters' eyes bleeding into the sides of their heads. Other than that and their failure at making Marth look non-girly, I see potential in it.

Oh no... Fire Emblem is becoming like Final Fantasy--gender difference will be shown through clothes and hair, yet the facial areas will be remarkably the same  Possibly. Eh, this has got to be the worst looking art next to Seisen's official, in my opinion  |

...They look hideous, really. >_> I honestly dislike this art style, looks too "Darker and Edgier" like that new AW to be interesting. Also, Sheeda looks way too much like who was it...I think Lash of AW2, and Marth is wearing pants. |

Looks like the one who drew Ranma 1/2 drew Shiida's OA.. or he love Shampoo.
As for Marth.. Ocarina of Time's original Instruction Booklet says hi.

He never looked like a girl in the first place (I'm talking about his FE1/3 sprites and artworks, and his anime appearance, not his SSBM/SSBB models.  ) Anyway, I have to agree that the faces look ugly. Especially Sheeda's one. However, the clothes and hair aren't too bad, IMO. |

I like the ingame face pics but the OAs not so much. At least Marth looks less like an Asian girl, though. |

I think the art is pleasant enough. It's nothing exceptional, but I've seen much worse. The faces kind of stumble into the uncanny valley, though.
