FEW page

As as well as Marth and Sheeda, we also have artworks of Navarre, Marich and Minerva.

Also the character illustrator for this game has been revealed to be manga artist Masamune Shirow (many Japanese fans already guessed it was him before this announcement). You might know him from Appleseed and Ghost in the Shell, amongst others. Unfortunately I don't, but I'm not too familiar with the manga world ^^;;;

Hmm...this is actually very revealing. Minerva's carrying an axe, like a Tellius dragon knight. Either pegasus knights get axes upon promotion, or the pegasus and dragon classes have been split up. Either way, this indicates that there's finally more axe users than Oguma's three stooges.

Minerva looks way too much like Miledy and Nabarl like Shannan. They looked original beforehand. >_>

Official art is as atrocious as the previous two.

My opinion on the hasn't changed. Although Maric's hood looks even more ridiculous than it did originally. I didn't think that was possible.

Maric's pointy hat...

Eh, nothing is jumping out as good.  I don't particularly care for this artist, apparently.  Maric has too much filigree to be a simple mage, in my opinion >.>

I've looked at other stuff this guy's done, and I'll be perfectly honest: his style's way too gritty for Fire Emblem.

Whatever happened to the artists from FE7? I really liked those illustrations.

Though I prefer the FE9/10 style of art (maybe the new style just takes some getting used-to?), I think you guys are really blowing how "bad" it really is out of proportion. Plus the fact it's by the artist of Ghost in the Shell means I now have a way to convince a few of my friends to try the series when I know they'd like it...

I mostly see opinions in this topic, though. And I personally don't like this art style.

I noticed that Navarre has two swords in his art.  Wonder if that means anything for the game?  Although, it might just be the artist's interpretation of the characer.  Still, no character has had two weapons, I believe, in their art before

Uguuuh... Is it even possible to hold a sword with three fingers...? =_= This is really awkward to me.
I've seen some of Masamune Shirow's works, and I can say that he is really doing himself a disservice with works like that.

I know nothing about anything as far as OAs go, so I can't say too much.  I will say though it almost doesn't look like Fire Emblem; (at least what I'm used to...) the mage's over-the-top hood and the person with the axe's armor.  (Blast, no ROM so I don't know their names...)  Again, it's what I think, so don't kill me if you disagree...

Navarre has two swords in his Complete and TCG artworks, as well as in the FE Anime.

It would've been nice for him to have his own custom animation then

Ah, wasn't his palette still a default blue?  I hope the colors aren't a last-minute mash-up.  They aren't incredibly important, but good color placement makes a lot of difference for me :x

EDIT 1: I can't wait to see rena  and the three pegesus sister artwork.

Yeah, which everyone but Bartz were utter phail.

Maric looks badass and Minerva looks so kewl. Looking forward to seeing Hardain,Ulf,the pegasus sisters, Julian, Chiki and Chainey's artworks. I'm just thinking that Nintendo should also make the continued story to this game afterwards...erm Book II as I am really looking forward to that.

I really like what I see... I am incredibly fond of Minerva and Sheeda. Nabarl/Navvarre reminds me of Zoro from One Piece from the way he's holding his swords not by appearance its how he is holding two swords. Though Zoro is the three sword using pirate. Its possible to hold any light sword though with three fingers... Nabarl's just in a posing frenzy. I advise not to leave it as so. As your arm that holds the sword, tends to get numb. Also he is balancing it to the floor/ground how ever you see fit.

been away for some time and now... Seriously... what the hell?

Masamune Shirow is more like the guy for SciFi and porn... oO And nonetheless I expected something more fitting than that.
I remember his art being a lot more similar to the FE3-5 artworks(which is most likely why they hired him) but THIS doesn't look like his style at all. (imo way to saturated and shiny...)

I feared Senri Kita wouldn't stay forever, but this makes it even harder for me...

I actually like these arts (except Marth's face and Maric's (?) hat). They fit to the art style in the game and shiny armors are good.

How come no-one is complaining about Marth's absolutely weird pants....? o.o;; Anyways, I sort of like the art... and sort of don't. Can't put a finger on it, though... I just want to see MOAR. However, I really would have liked OAs in the style of FE7...
