Page 1Page 2New info: - Prologue chapter: Takes place a few years before the start of the original game. Aritia castle has been invaded and Marth must escape to safety. Players can also learn the basic controls here.
- Sidestories: Like in earlier games, completion of special requirements in certain chapters grants access to "gaiden" chapters, which are an aside to the main story. New characters such as Etzel can be recruited in these chapters.
- Master Seals: These items are used to promote most characters when they are Level 10 or over. However they will be limited in number (although I'm guessing they might change this for the English versions like in Radiant Dawn).
- Class Swap: A new feature that allows players to directly change a character's class. The character's Level and Experience remains the same, but their other stats (such as HP, Strength and Skill) can change, as well as their weapon proficiency. There seems to be a limitation to how many of one class you can have, so don't expect to have a full army of Myrmidons, for example.

You're linking to the same page in both links... It should be a 'B' at the end of the image name of the second link instead of an 'A'. Anyway, I like how they're adding sidestories to the game. That was one of the few things that I missed during Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. Not too sure what to think about the class swap feature. I guess it allows a little more customization for the characters and such... I'll have to see how it works first I suppose... Riff(?) as a cavalier

Etzel is the guy with the monocle, right? If so, it looks like there will be some playable dark magic users. - Class Swap: A new feature that allows players to directly change a character's class. This could actually be interesting. I now have stange images in my mind like Navarre as a dancer. orz

About the Master Seals, will they be necessary to promote (like in the GBA games)? I don't know what they did in the original, but I hope that they continue to let us auto-promote at level 21. I hated having to waste items for promotion.

Etzel is the guy with the monocle, right? If so, it looks like there will be some playable dark magic user. Yeah, that's him. The thing I'm worried about Dark Mages is that they would be kind of pointless since all magical weapons are combined into the "Tome" category. Still, maybe there are some Dark Mage-only tomes (eg. Worm). I have a source that claims Dark Mages are in this game though, and can promote, so I don't really know what to think :S About the Master Seals, will they be necessary to promote (like in the GBA games)? I don't know what they did in the original, but I hope that they continue to let us auto-promote at level 21. I hated having to waste items for promotion. There's no mention of an alternative promotion scheme, so think what you will : o

Class Swap seems more gimmicky then branched promotions. I think I'll just stick with everyone's original class

I'll end up using the class swap after a few plays--this'll boost replay value. Although, it's seeming more and more like there's only going to be generic palettes for characters. I'd rather not see a retrograde like that Still no word on the inclusion of a hard mode

Uh-oh! I'm getting a bad feeling here . . . Btw: Doesn't it seem like there's ... like ... no space left on the status screen for supports . . . . . . like they put so much on the one we've seen . . . they won't need a second one . . . [EDIT:] Oh, and also lol at Canas clone.

Yeah, I was thinking that as well, as well as the lack of pages (only 4) in the Unit menu. The way things are going, I'm thinking there's not much chance of seeing support conversations.

Oh dear.... I hope they somehow find a way to make the characters not be generic. I'm not liking a lot of the downgrades they're making for this game... I also share in Kahane's fears regarding the class changing system... Plus it gives me the idea FE character debates are going to get a lot more heated before they begin to cool...

I'd probably change the classes to those that fit the growths... Like if a Fighter had low Str growth and high Skl/Spd, he's a Myrmidon. >_> On the bottom of the second page on the left, it looks like Battle Saves are back. And is that a healer as a Myrmidon to a Cavalier? o_0 So we can change infinite times?

Battle Saves would be rather redundant with the Save Points.
Maybe they'll do an FE4-style Battle Save (i.e. only available at the start of your turn, before you move any units.)
Besides, I thought there was no Battle Save in the Japanese version of FE10...

Either way, this indicates that there's finally more axe users than Oguma's three stooges.
Yeah, which everyone but Bartz were utter phail. I now have stange images in my mind like Navarre as a dancer. orz
Lulz. xD ----- Why is Marth's skin darker in the first one? And in the seocnd one who is that red haired mage guy with an eyeglass on named eeshiru? The promotion in the second picture looks good as it has a much better effect than the original classics did and in the first picture, Riff is wearing different clothes on rather than just a robe which is pretty cool. The Navarre and Sheeda picutre in the second one excited me. I'm looking forward to it's release here in the United States. Hmm, it also shows that in the first picture that Marth will not hold your items for you either as you have to have a caravan guy hold your stuff for you.

I was just looking over the class swap feature, and I noticed Riff as a Myrmidon was marked as 2/4.
So maybe there's only four classes available at all, or a limited amount to certain types of classes. It's kinda similar to Gaiden's Villagers able to become Archers, Mages, Soldiers, or Sword Fighters (was Social Knight also an option?).

Yup, villagers could become pretty much any base class you wanted.

It's strange, but I'll try and remain optimistic, so I'll hold off any real judgements until I play the game. This will certainly be not the FE I'm used to...

There wasn't... Maybe they saw the US version and liked that idea, so newbies can beat the game and the game can have some challenge (ignoring FE10 easy mode >_>) And from the picture, it seems that you can save at any point, because some units have moved...

Those aren't Battle Saves. The magazine was just repeating the Save Point information from the official site (which I'm assuming was "New" when the magazine went to print).
