The thing I'm worried about Dark Mages is that they would be kind of pointless since all magical weapons are combined into the "Tome" category. Still, maybe there are some Dark Mage-only tomes (eg. Worm).

Maybe it's not about dark mages exclusive tomes, but about a different stat build to use the class swap feature. (maybe moar MAG and DEF, and less SKL and SPD than regular mages or something)

I'd probably change the classes to those that fit the growths... Like if a Fighter had low Str growth and high Skl/Spd, he's a Myrmidon. >_>

Heh...I'd do the exact opposite. If the unit has low strenght I'll let it have axes >_>

I was just looking over the class swap feature, and I noticed Riff as a Myrmidon was marked as 2/4.

So maybe there's only four classes available at all, or a limited amount to certain types of classes.  It's kinda similar to Gaiden's Villagers able to become Archers, Mages, Soldiers, or Sword Fighters (was Social Knight also an option?).

I was thinking it could mean that in that game the player has 2 myrmidons out of 4 possible

I'm liking how the game looks so far

Those aren't Battle Saves. The magazine was just repeating the Save Point information from the official site (which I'm assuming was "New" when the magazine went to print).
Oh... I haven't been paying attention to this game until recently.

That's not a bad idea, since I heard everyone has caps of 20 anyways... <_<

Global caps at 20 are likely to be redone to be like the newer games though

Marich lost his cone hat...

As for class swap, it looks like the stat changes for switching classes is probably going to be the difference between the classes' base stats.

Movement ranges are also quite interesting... Priest and Armorknight have 5; General has 6; Swordfighter has 7; Pegasusknight has 8; Socialknight has 9!? Something tells me armors are really going to be lagging behind unless you turtle a lot...

Eh, might as well post here.

The latest issue of Nintendo Dream, which came out on the 19th, apparently had a four page feature on the game. Unfortunately I've looked practically everywhere for three days, but I couldn't find any magazine scans.

Here's a new screenshot from the magazine anyway, showing Barts's stats.

Some new tidbits:

  • Apparently Generals can wield Bows, as well as Lances.
  • Apparently Pegasus Knights still promote to Dragon Knights (as shown by Sheeda promoting).

(Information from Japanese fans. Don't quote me.)

The rest of the feature seems to be repeating known information.
