Between chapters 4-F-2 and 4-F-3 (before the 4-F-3 preparations), you get to mess around with your units' inventories. At then end of this, each unit's equipped weapon will be blessed by Yune and get infinite durability (very useful for the SS-ranked magics as they normally have only 15 max durability). At this point in the game, Ike is forced to equip Ragnell for the remainder so Ragnell will always be blessed.
Yep, I did know that. Blessing Rexcalibur made my day

Well, I finally beat the game yesterday but it took me a bit over a week (due to work and other stuff).

Two more questions:
-Heather does not promote right?
-Does Sothe's Bane skill work if the attack is lethal? This never happened to me so I just want to confirm. I would really hate it if it did indeed work during a lethal blow.

Actually, Heather can promote (Whisper).

I don't know about those conditions, but I'm pretty sure that Bane could still activate on an otherwise lethal hit.

It can, and will activate at inconvenient times if you use him. He doubles practically everything though, so half of those won't be quite as bad, since he'll get them on the second attack and mine had Adept too....

I assume that, unlike Sothe, Heather becomes a Whisper without the need of an event promotion. What the hell.

Another question: since I've beaten the game already, I decided to venture into the wonderful world of spoilers concerning Sephiran. I read what happens to him during the epilogue and along comes a conversation between him and Ashunera. I've read this in Serenes Forest, and the title read "Return of Ashunera".

Quote
Return of Ashunera

Lehran: Welcome home.
???: Could it be that you were here all this time?
Lehran: Alas, no, I am sorry to say. But for several days, I've somehow felt as though you would soon return.
Ashunera: Well, I'm home. And I'm glad to see you again, Lehran.
Lehran:  And I am glad to see you as well, Goddess Ashunera.
Ashunera: How long has it been? A hundred years? Five hundred?
Lehran: About twelve hundred years.
Ashunera: I see. For mortals, that is many, many lives.
Lehran: Yes. The peace we once had is on the verge of crumbling again.
Ashunera: That is unfortunate. The miasma of war is beginning to shroud the world. However, I shall not again be frightened. As one born of the hopes of man I shall protect this world.
Lehran: Yes.
Ashunera: Lehran. I've missed your songs. Would you sing for me now?
Lehran: I... I no longer...
Ashunera: Well, then I will sing. And you may sing with me. Is that all right?
Lehran: ...Yes.

What the hell? Aren't both Ashera and Yune dead? Is this conversation a flashback? If so, then the conversation's title contradicts it because it's the return of Ashunera. Can someone provide an explanation? I must be missing something here.

They don't die; they reunify.  The two disparate pieces of Ashera and Yune come back together to reform Ashunera, which is what they were in the first place.  Why they split, I either don't know or don't remember.

And with this, my final commitment to FESS is complete.  Yuyuko was defeated on Normal without continuing.  The victorious Sakuya has taken her place!

Oh, maybe I misinterpreted things. In the cinematic where Ike has delivered the final blow (after the final attack), Ashera disappeared, and Yune said "she has to go" or something like that. I think I also remember that Ike or someone said people have no need for gods, which made me think Ashera and Yune died.

Ashera defeated Yune in more or less the same way with Altina's swords, yet Yune didn't die.

The reason they split, as I recall, is that Yune had accidentally caused the great flood with overwhelming emotions, and Ashera, being the embodiment of order split from her and had Altina, Dheginsea and Soan seal her into Lehran's medallion.

When Yune says "they have to go", I interperet them as having more of a passive role in being Tellius's guardians.

It's true. Ashunera's emotional outburst caused the great flood. Thus, in order to prevent it from happening again, she rid herself of her emotions (Yune) thus leaving only the body. (Ashera)
