I don't know how people regard Famitsu now, but I thought I'd post this. Image from 2chan. The game scored 9, 8, 8, 9 (34/40). I'm kind of lazy to figure out what they're saying, but I can see some praise for the Save Points, simple interface, storyline and stuff.

Is that a picture of Katua in there or is it some lame new character that they added that happens to look similar?

As in Rebecca. <+Blacky Wacky> OK, and who's still clinging vainly to the idea that Square isn't just a yellow man's EA?

Why would a new character be an auto-lamer? I thought she was Katua at first glance

That is indeed Katua... she looks sleepy. Her hairstyle makes her look old...

To be fair, its not exactly a large or terribly high quality picture.

To be fair, its not exactly a large or terribly high quality picture. True... though there's only so much difference shrinking a picture can make... I just noticed that it's a triangle attack she's using...

Thanks for the info! Nice scores, too. I looked around the web for more info on the reviews and found this on 1up's site 'Fire Emblem: Shin Ankoku Ryu to Hikari no Ken, the Nintendo DS remake of the original Fire Emblem that comes out next week, scored a 34/40 rating of its own in Famitsu, which reviewers praising its accessibility and ease of use. " Switching between the map and your unit information on the top screen is incredibly convenient -- it wouldn't be exaggerating to say that this alone made it worth releasing on the DS," one wrote. "The save points on the map let you start over from the middle as much as you like, which certainly dilutes the tension, but gives you more of a chance to enjoy the story as you play," said another. "If you're looking for a challenge, then playing in Hard mode is just fine." http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3169066

No word from a reviewer that Hard Mode might remove those save points? I'd like to see that feature incorporated-actually, on the discussion of the multiple Hard Modes, I was kinda thinking it'd be cool for each successive level to focus on slightly different enemies throughout the game. Hard 1 would have your normal ragtag bunch, but maybe Hard 2 has a little more magic emphasis, and Hard 3 flying. And really nice would the highest difficulty, the enemy units would adapt to the ones you use, so if you use mostly flyers, you'd expect a few more bow-users in the maps or something.

Do you think you could save at any part of the game or is it just like when you enter a fortress or something? o_o
