When did this turn into the "Hey guys, let's all defend Blacky Wacky!" thread, again?

People, Ed is more than capable of defending himself. He doesn't need any of you to go in and offer him a hand by trying to bash Nightmare's skull in. In fact, I don't even condone such an action. Ed requested that anyone who has a problem with him respond in this thread and make this clear. Nightmare did that. So rather than showing the whole of FESS you're pro-Blacky Wacky and brown-nosing him in the process, you could give Nightmare the chance to make his points clear to Ed.

Blacky Wacky offsets the rest of the staff, who are mostly nice and friendly. He is the enforcer type; others are the counseling type, emotional type, whatever. You need all sorts to get things done. Don't ask him to change.

And Togieduo, while I'm very well aware Blacky Wacky is capable of defending himself, I'm also entitled to express my opinion and ask questions of others' opinions. (On a side note, I gain literally nothing by brown nosing.) So if that was addressed to me, please direct it elsewhere.

Please don't post if all you have is thanks/congratulations/cheers/whatever. I want to hear from people who still have a beef with me--yes, I want to hear it publicly--or have some questions.

There is nothing for you to gain by brown-nosing, yes, but there is also nothing to be gained by saying "don't change Blacky Wacky". You are entitled to ask questions yes, however you haven't asked any questions for at least your last two posts, and instead have simply gone straight into your opinions. You are entitled to express your opinions, but the opinions solicited by the first posts are specifically for complaints and you haven't expressed any.

I cannot speak for Togieduo, however, he is well within his right to address it to you if that was his intention under the guidelines within this post.

I'm sorry; I wasn't aware I couldn't debate with someone here. I'll bow out then.

I'm uncomfortable with the perception that in order for someone to be a "good member" that they have to do something tangible, like a walkthrough or a guide, or build the forums. Take it from someone that has done more for FESS, realistically speaking, than anyone in history that's not named Terranigma Freak: someone popular who goes by the rules, contributes to threads and is generally a good poster is not "less" of a member because they don't "do" anything. FESS is a community, not a house building project, and people expect different things from it. Someone who engages the members a lot in the CD is A-OK with me; they're keeping members happy. Is it my cup of tea? No, but anyone looking at the big picture definitely sees a need for balance.

I'm also not comfortable with the idea that coming to FESS is something one has to do to "improve" themselves. Not everything has to be some Taoist vision of self; some people just come here to relax. I see no harm in that.

Finally, I'm noticing a clique mentality forming, with the members starting to divide on certain topics. That's not something I can accept. Everyone - on both sides - needs to come away from the fringes a bit, and find a happy medium, and come to an understanding on this. Too many extremes are in play here, and things are getting tense for no reason that I can think of.

Overall, once you get language barriers out of the way, Nightmare isn't asking anything that I haven't demanded of Ed: a little more decorum, a little more control, and a little more understanding of others.
