Welcome to FESS, Great Ike. Ike was a mediocre president, in my opinion.
He was the best of the Cold War presidents, in my opinion. He was able to end a stalemated war, set our country on a course away from interventionism, and did what we now think is impossible: made an overall reduction in government spending. Shame that McCarthy's gang coincided with his government. |
