Why do they need to make Haruhi season 2 anyway? Haruhi season 1 memorabilia is selling well enough anyway. If people stopped buying stuff like 1/6 Mikuru with sharp knees ($150) the we'll see Season 2...maybe.

Well, I'm doubting KyoAni's sanity since Clannad anyway. Raping the story-arcs of the two most popular characters, squeezing them into 2-3 episodes... So making an Anime about a Yaoi-Fangirl rather than Haruhi 2 seems logical to me.
