Chapter 20. Dark Knight Camus
This chapter was the absolute hardest. You would probably would have to use the Warp Staff to get to Camus, if you didn't have a bridge key, upon which this chapter does not sell any. Yes, you will have to use some Warp Staff rounds, to get to Camus out of distence of the elephant shooter, otherwise your going to have to deal with both Camus and the Elephant shooter. I actually lost Kachua here against Camus. This is when the Oum Wand became useful, as she was at LV14 when I lost her. Getting the Harmain Staff itself is quite a task as you have got to quickly rush to the village to save it, as the Thief will destroy it by Turn 5. As you try to get to the village, you get bombared with several Paladins ALL armed with Silver Weapon. I actually lost the battle so many times in this part that I had to rely on luck from the RNG to get through this part, as the Paladin ARE VERY DEADLY.
So, what wwas the chapter that you had most trouble with, and why?

My worst chapter was the one where you get Jake.
First, it took quite a long time for me to realise that I had to go to the Anna house to get him. Then I had lots of trouble dealing with the enemies after the fort blocking access to the open area near the thrown. Reinforcements, Shooters, the Sniper, the boss (Mamkute)... My Freyr was able to deal with most of that, but then getting Sheeda to Jake was a problem, just because his ~50 hit kept hitting her. >.< It eventually worked, but it took a really long time. Too bad save states don't work.

Talking about the remake? First time through, I plastered the game, until Chapter 25 when the enemies suddenly jump up in stats. I died once I think... second time in Hard Mode, enemies jumped back into Fire Emblem style. George's chapter I remember dying a bunch, because stupid RNG let a Pirate hit a Swordfighter >.< There were a couple chapters like that, mostly. Other than that, chapter 21 right now, I think, and Camus was still a pushover. I didn't fight him, but a single crit from anyone would have taken him down, three/four hits would've killed him too. I think in Book I I had Maric Excalibur his ass Getting the Harmain Staff itself is quite a task as you have got to quickly rush to the village to save it, as the Thief will destroy it by Turn 5. When I first played it, he didn;'t get there until about turn 7 >.> Or would have, at least, had it not been for Abel/Kain/everyone else. Camus's chapter is actually rather short ._.

Yeah, Chapter 12 was also what I kinda had trouble with, until I got help from Celice. Recruiting Jake was very hard.
Well Chapter 20 was most trublesome for me as if you try to get to the village, not only do you have to face off several Paladins, but also the shooters by the village will shoot the crap out of you with Quick Rains and Fire Guns if you try to get to the village early, as you DO have to get there by Turn 5, or else it's gone. As you try to kill the lone thief, this thief is DEADLY as he has a Devil Sword along with a few Paladins as you very likely won't kill them all in under 5 turns.
Chapter 22 was third most difficult for me as you get attacked by troops that have different variety of weapons such as Knight Killers, and there are also Worm priests that will bomber the crap out of you along with getting attacked by an elite fleet of Paladins with Silver Weapon and Dragon Knights with Silver Lances and Knight Killers. Without a good supply of Pure Water and Reserve Staff rounds, you will not possibly survive.
Difficult chapters
1. Chapter 20 2. Chapter 12 3. Chapter 22
Chapters lost...
Chapter 20 Like approximently 15 times. Chapter 12 5 times Chapter 22 Twice

For Chapter 20, The Paladins can be lured in to attack one character, and then slaughtered. They die before, or just after the Thief starts to move. Then just toss units at the Shooters-there's two of them, and they aren't going to do much damage. Never did to me at least. Move as close as possible, get shot, move in and kill When I just passed it, I was up at the castle before any enemy reinforcements arrived from the west First time through, I did the same, but back-tracked through the bridge. I think I had Oguma take a hit from Gladius, survived, and then everyone else pummeled him into submission.

This list is going to look weird. Chapters where I lost people that I remember (I usually did resatart). Chapter 02...the boss is deceptively powerful Chapter 04...Daros crossing the rivier to hight 2 horsemen was a daft idea Chapter 08...Arena abuse sometimes goes wrong... Chatper ??...recruiting Astoria is annoying with about 50 shooters raining down on Medea and her zero durability. And then there was the attempt when the shooters mobbed up on Linda Chapter 21...I can see why they left this out of FE3. Trainwreck of a map. The zoomed in look meant I missed most the dragon riders coming for people like Linda and those Silver Lance Generals really pack a punch. Chapter 23...Kashim was killed by one of the fake Garnefs Yeah where's Chapter 20? The shooters died to Beck and Chainey using the Thunder Gun and the orb that prevents weapons from losing durability, the Paladins were slayed with Horse Killers (thank goodness these are buyable or i'd have been in real trouble) and Camus went down with a triangle attack. As for reinforcements, all I got were two waves of crappy Armour Knights and Social knights

The ones that gave me the most trouble were 21 and Final.
I seem to recall the enemies got a little tougher starting from 21, which caught me a little off guard. The Dragon Knights and reinforcements were pretty annoying as well.
Final was just... Well, I basically gave up doing it the hard way and warped Nagi and Marth to kill Mediuth in two turns.
Previously, I spent most of the chapter boxed in because I didn't bring any door keys, while Marth couldn't move anywhere because of the constant reinforcements- the ones during Turn 14 and 19 were the worst (annoyingly, I was actually on the last turn of reinforcements when I gave up).

We are talking about FE1 yes?
Prettymuch any chapter with high critical units (Snipers, Heros, etc.), since I don't think you can lower enemy crit in FE1 (or at least not very well). Or ones with lots of reinforcements (One with Mishiel or was it the one before, had a ton of dragon and pegasus knights? The one before the final chapter, etc.).
The final chapter was also a little bit of a pain since the enemies are somewhat strong.
I have yet to play FEDS

Actually, I think the topic is about FEDS, but it doesn't really matter. Still only at chapter 9, but I haven't had any real difficulties. I'm playing normal though. Since I can't read the story yet, I don't count this as a "real" playthrough. I kill people off, I don't restart when I don't recruit someone, stuff like that.
