So I'm a little late to the party.

Those of you who saw The Dark Knight probably saw the trailer for the movie adaptation of Alan Moore's graphic novel, Watchmen. Watchmen is difficult for me to describe. Taking place during the Cold War (mostly), Watchmen concerns two generations of retired masked crimefighters, and the plight of the world's true "superhero", Dr. Manhattan, also called the Living H-Bomb. Eh, I myself don't want to give any details as to the plot away just yet.

The trailer has promise. Everything portrayed in the two-minute feature looks remarkably faithful to the original novel. I'll definitely being seeing it in March.

Just some background information. Alan Moore is also the writer of the graphic novel, V for Vendetta. The director for the upcoming film, Zack Snyder, was also responsible for such graphic novel-to-movie adaptations such as Sin City and 300.

I guess discussion as to the original graphic novel as well as the upcoming film release goes here.

The trailer did appease to me (and so did The Day the Earth Stood Still), but that's what trailers are supposed to be: appealing. I will not judge until I see the actual movie, which I will probably a month after it is released. The reason for this being is that I do not like theaters that are overly crowded, and this always happens on the first day/week when a highly anticipated film comes out. Heck, The Dark Knight was so good that a horde of people still came to watch it even a month after it came out.

Anyway, since the release date of the movie is close to/on the March break, I just might watch it then if I absolutely cannot wait. I am expecting something good.
