Let's see... everything looks good in terms of use, and I'm sure the skin will make it look like a Fire Emblem board in due time...
Well, obviously, just to add things to be added later- Change the upload limit so that we can actually use it (128 KB's rather light for some of the things we upload), Perhaps a quick reply option (For the more lighthearted boards), and changing a few text options so that it's more like what we are used to ("Edit" instead of "Modify," ect). Of course, the last one is just nit-pick, so it's not too important.

Yaarrgggh.... Look and layout prefs... look at the bottom... Btw, any and all mods/admins should be prompted to turn on their quick mod option as well...

Huh, I didn't notice the quick-mod option. Nifty!
One kind of "hidden" sub-feature of that that's probably not that useful but is good to know anyway.. Double clicking on topic title from board index allows AJAX-ish editing of title. Hm...

Everything so far has been better than I expected. The only complaints are regarding skin and other misc stuff that I know they will be rearranged.
Also, one of the surprises I got is about the PM system... It's better (IMO) than the IPB system. It's quite simplier and also has some nice features like the multiple messages list in the PM box index
So far I don't have any major/relevant contras for this forum so I give the thumbs up for this software.

It's kinda annoying to have the group icon above and the avatar below, but I'm assuming that can easily be changed with the templates. :x

I personally prefer it that way. That way it's much easier to see what group someone's in. The avatar can be shown later without a problem.
But I can change that later if it's a serious problem.

Is it possible to make it so that you see your post after it's been posted? Or at least make it an option for users?

Not that I know of. I'll look into it.
EDIT: To make it a default, I mean.

Yes. Just go Profile --> Look and Layout Preferences. Then check the one in question.

As Judas said, in your preferences, have it set to return to the topic by default.

Is it possible to not show the custom title? Going by the settings of FESS4, the "personal text" field serves the exact same purpose as IPB's "custom title" field, and is in a more logical position in the poster information. Plus the default custom titles aren't really needed with the group badges.

Admins certainly have custom titles. I'm geussing its a permission thing. Though the thing to note is "personal text" has a character limit while custom titles doesn't (or if it does its larger).
Edit: and yes Administrator is after the "custom title" text.
Anyway is there any way to change how many posts there are per a page? It being stuck on 15 is about the only complaint I have so far.

I'd have to change ALL users to the FESSer non-post-count group, and frankly I am too fucking lazy to do that individually for 30 of you.

This is Virus/Aznddongman too lazy to make an acc.
I personally think that SMF sucks. PHPBB is the way to go and is much for usable. And you can do pretty much anything you want with either coding (<3 DMA) or those hundreds or thousands of mods.
