Can't think of one in specific, but most comedy's that just use stupid humor to be funny. I don't find them funny at all, so all that's left is the "stupid" making it a shitty movie in my case.

Hmm that newer one? I personally didn't mind it, some of the scenes had feeling (Like the one where they are running off and all the clothes from the vaporized people are raining), but it didn't come close to the original in my opinion.

We operate a large kitten farm in Texas, providing thousands of domestic felines for release into urban areas each month. We rely on the freshness of Tuscan Milk, as our kittens will not drink anything less. During the Italian milk drought of '03 we lost hundreds of puss, because the kittens refused to drink anything but Tuscan Whole. Thankfully Tuscan also produces their Fresh Powdered line, which is canned at the teats of elderly bovine. Thanks to the Italians, Texas streets will always have plenty of healthy long-haired puss for stroking. A+++ Will do business again!!!

Eragon - That movie was rushed really badly that it bored me. In fact, I kept on typing stuff up on my laptop, and the next thing I knew it was up to the final battle scene. And it was boring too. And by the way... Eragon's supposed to be fifteen turning sixteen, not seventeen.

The Seeker - Boring. Just boring. Will should've used his powers in the situations presented to him, not twice in the entire movie.

Star Wars: Clone Wars (2008) - The plot was really stupid IMO. The only thing good in that movie was Asoka herself.

It's a pretty hit or miss type of movie.

==I think that for most it's such a miss that it's a hit. The movie really is terrible and boring, but some of it is just hilarious because it's so bad, or the characters are so lame. There are a few scenes that I had a good laugh at, but by and large, I seriously cannot fault anyone that would think it's a completely awful movie.

I can't really describe why I found it funny either...  something about the entire thing just felt really incredibly stupid, but criticizing it for that kinda does miss the entire point of the movie overall...  I just really enjoyed it, although it's admittedly a lot more fun/bearable (depends on how much you like the movie) to watch with friends than by yourself.

==I can agree with that.

It's just that it was less accessible than a lot of other movies that use that same kind of humor. I can't recall one person that I watched Anchorman with that didn't have a damn good laugh throughout the film, because the absurdity was delivered really well. I think the main problem with Napoleon Dynamite was that while some of the scenes carried some merit, the movie itself kind of delivered them almost in a serious manner, so you weren't really sure if it was meant to be funny or not.

For example, look at the bit where Pedro explains shaving his hair to cool down. The entire sequence is delivered such that by the end of it you're left thinking "Where was the funny part? Was I supposed to laugh?" I kind of think that it doesn't distinguish the over the top bits and the normal bits well enough that someone will prepare themselves to be entertained and laugh, and when it doesn't happen, they feel let down.

You probably hit the nail on the head there--a lot of the movie can be seen either as humorous or just really awkward, your choice.

A Tale of Two Sisters, the Korean thriller, was supposed to be the best of its kind. But somehow...it was disappointing...even for a confusing horror thriller.

On the topic itself, the worst movie I can recently recall seeing would probably be There Will Be Blood.  People like to heap praise on this movie for being a work of art, but it's too drawn out, too sparse in actual goings-on, and has a bizarre score that would be more at home in a horror movie.  It's also the source of the absurd "I drink your milkshake!" quote and the most ridiculous murder ever: death by bowling pin.  In the end, all this movie is is bizarre and long.

The title of 'Worst Movie Ever' goes to Mister Atlas. It's a movie about a little boy and his gay cowboy friend who find a sweaty Atlas in a cave for some reason and then take him back to their house so he can work up some sexual tension with the kid's mildly hot aunt, be bathed by the kid while the cowboy watches (Wait, what?), and foil the evil stepdad's stupid plan about stealing the aunt's land or something before he somehow becomes a star. Worst acting ever, worst story, worst idea for a movie, worst film ever made.

Then again, it wasn't exactly big budget. Worst big budget movie ever was At World's End, with several others trailing behind. House of the Dead, Shark Attack 3, Dead Alive, et al were bad, but they have camp value, and are awesome for it. AWE did not. It was just a boring piece of crap. All the Scary Movie ripoffs were bad too, but everyone (with a working brain) knows that (even though I rather liked Scary Movie 1 and 2, and 3 had it's moments), so we can't really count them. However, AWE is really, really popular for some reason.

Oh, and second the Disney sequels. I liked the two Aladdin ones, but all the other ones were just stupid. However, Disney promises to stop doing them after Little Mermaid 3.

With the necropost rule gone, I'm giong to see if I can bring some life back into this topic... I'll start it out by going ahead and tossing in "just about any movie starring Will Ferrell".

Generally, I find that anything he stars in would be better off as an SNL short rather than a full-length movie.

I'm not much of a movie-viewer, but just for the sake of contributing to this thread...

The worst movie I've watched was Evan Almighty. I kinda enjoyed Bruce Almighty and as a church-goer, I was curious to see what EA would be like. I dowloaded it and watched it (I am cheap), and you don't know how disappointed I was. I asked myself: what was the point of the flood? How is this entertaining? And overall, why would I ever watch this again?

Yeah.

I had a lot less hope for it when I saw it was rated PG.  Then I actually saw it.  I could've used that hour and a half to do other things, like jack off or something but instead I spent it watching Evan Almighty.  Which was incredibly crappy.

Speaking of Steve Carrell, Dan in Real Life was the worst birthday movie ever.  Here I was expecting it to be about a really awkward guy and how much of an idiot he is with the world (ie, a really stupid Dodgeball-esque movie), but I was so disappointed.

Of the last 4 movies I've seen in theaters, (I am not a big movie-goer, though) My least favorite is easily Meet the Spartans. (settled for it when they wouldn't sell my friend tickets for Rambo.) The movies I saw were Meet the Spartans, The Mummy 3, The Dark Knight, and Hellboy 2.

If I were forced to choose between the movies, I would easily choose Hellboy 2, Followed by The Mummy, (Not the Jet Li movie I expected at all.) then obviously The Dark Knight, and the deserves-to-be-nuked title, Meet the Spartans.

Note: Recent DVD movies I've watched tempt me to mention that Iron Man was great.

I wouldn't say any of these movies aside from Meet The Spartans was terrible, though.

Somebody else mentioned Dan in Real Life. I had been tempted to turn this movie off when I first saw Dane Cook, but opted to give it a chance. Big mistake.
