BoNam'oLafs

Bosses get HM bonuses as well. (And it seems they're related to the corresponding character growths.)

I prefer Ephraim route all the way. Eirika route is simply boring with the Aias mission being the only interesting one.

I prefer Eirika's route, because Binks>All and Pablo>Gheb. Also, Chapter 13 is one of the best in the game, while Ephraim's...isn't. >__<

But Cougar joins earlier in Ephraim's route, so unless you mean story-wise wouldn't Ephraim's be better?

And I myself prefer Eirika's, can't stand Ephraim's maps :<
No, I meant stat-wise. Cougar's stats are higher on Eirika's route. Although I believe the difference was much bigger in the Japanese version, but that's the one I played the most anyway.

Ah, I had never noticed that he was a higher level in Eirika's (I checked Serenes after reading your post lol), first time I've ever heard of that.

Yes, though Serenes Forest only mentions him auto-leveling, yet I see to remember that he his stats were significantly higher in the Japanese version. Maybe I just got lucky with the auto-level-ups...

It's a tough call, for me personally. Eirika's route is cool because you get the full background about what happens to Glen (who is one of my top favourite characters, probably from any FE game). But Ephraim's is cool because you get Cormag sooner, you get to see the creepy, messed-up possession side of Lyon, Ephraim's story is more dramatically impressive (storming Grado as opposed to 'warning nations' as someone else has pointed out), and I just prefer Ephraim as the lord character over Eirika (she comes across as wimpy to me).

So in light of that, I suppose I'd say Ephraim's route, despite the appeal of the 'Glen-Valter-Cormag' plotline.

A reason to choose Eirika's route(story-related) is that if your lives all  the way to the end (as every one of your characters should unless your really don't like them) his ending comments say he became the king of Jehanna, and I was like WTH? Because you don't know he's a prince, ever in Ephraim's route.  Erika wins the story, but Ephraim wins (with the exception of Selena's chapter). I guess the first chapter and haunted-house themed maps in Eirika's weren't the worst in the game though. I still don't believe thew pirate ship level is bad at all, aside form being annyoing.

I think even in Ephraim's it's implied in an info conversation in a house somewhere that Joshua is the prince of Jehanna. But darn, you're right. I'd forgotten about the Joshua plotline, that's something else that makes Eirika's route good.

Damn, now I'm undecided again.

I agree with SacredSage. Ephraim is better for playing, but Ephraim's Lyon is just demented and well, sucks, but Eirika's Lyon is actually a good villain.

Story-wise: Ephraim's. I would take the adventure where you take down the biggest army with approximately thirty people.
Lyon-wise: Eirika's. Like the previous statement, Lyon is a great villain in Eirika's plot, as 'A Terrible Person' would say, "ZETTA AWESOME."
Recruitment-wise: Eirika's. You get the following earlier; Innes, Gerik, Marisa, Tethys, Saleh. You get the following later; Duessel, Knoll, and Cormag.
Other Sibling's Entrance-wise; Ephraim's. What I mean by this, is that if you take Eirika's tale, you would get Ephraim and two other units pinned down under the gigantic force of Valter's southern army. It's a lot easier to unite Eirika to Ephraim, not vice versa.

Sort of unrelated, but in Will of Good and Evil I did not know that two turns after Ephriam, Limstella and Hellene come in, there would appear a huge mob of enemy reinforcements in the exact same place and I ended up getting massacred on my first try.

I prefer Erika's even though it is much less of a challenge. It just feels like Ephraims has less of the main plot in it, evem though it does reveal some extra details.

Wow, I'm about a day short of necroposting, aren't I?
