So, also, in a matter of personal opinions, (obviiously for those of you who have played it) is this class change feature worth it?  I'm still a little skeptical, to be honest.  I can see it benefiting almost like the nature/EV part of Pokemon in online gaming, but other than that...

Depends on the Class...

Bishop (heck, all the Magic classes) are going to have limited Magic/Resist growths (due to characters generally having 0 to negative) the characters with good Magic growths have only decent Speed/Skill Growths. However there are a few characters which might work (but their magic growths will pretty well STOP after promotion).

However most characters will work as a Hero (Strong Classes) or a Swordmaster (Swift classes).

Soloing with Dark Mage is impossible, you'll have a max of 2.

If people find class-only playthroughs too easy they can impose a natural classes only rule

Though in reality class swap means you have a couple more as whatever class than you would have before...class swapping the worst naturals in a class will be the way to go if you want to use "better" units.
