Well folks, it's that time again, we get a few new Wii games comin' in. We've got ourselves No More Heroes 2and Tales of Symphonia 2. Now unfortunately, I haven't played the first No More Heroes, so I can't exactly say that I anticipate it's sequel, however, for Tales of Symphonia 2, it's a completely different story. As some of you know, I enjoyed the first Tales of Symphonia, and while I have doubts about certain aspects of the gameplay (map clicking, monster catching) I still look forward to it. What you guys? In the usual terms... discuss~

TOS2 actually looks just as bad if not worse than TOS was. I enjoyed TOS the first couple playthroughs, then it got stale... I also have no hope for TOS2's plot, because TOS' kinda sucked overall and... I've heard some things.
Still have yet to get the first No More Heroes. I really want to play it though.

I never played No More Heroes but watched as my younger brother played through most of it, I missed parts here and there.
It's a good game, not amazing but cool and quarky. It's story is a joke so if your looking for a serious plot you wont find it here but it was really funny it was making fun of itself and videogames throughout the game.
I have no interest in ToS2... just dont care about it

I was the first person in my city to preorder TOS2. That tell you anything?
I'm a huge fan of the series in general, and I'm very much looking forward to the game. I'm a bit skeptical, but it'll be a new game for me to play, so...
As far as No More Heroes 2 goes, I didn't play the first, so I can't say anything on it.

I know ToS's plot was a complete ripoff of FF10's, but I fail to see how it was so terrible... And what are these "things" you've heard? Considering not much is known about the game right now, rumors are at least worth listening to.

Considering not much is known about the game right now It's been out in Japan since June. I, and thousands of other people, have already played and beaten it. I think we can safely say that's far more than 'Not much is known'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tales_of_Symphonia:_Dawn_of_the_New_World

Yeah, I also know most of the plot myself. Although, it's through rumors and not by actually seeing it, so I still plan on playing it no matter how bad the story is.

From what i've heared they decided to make the battles "tougher" by boosting the enemies HP so battles take longer...as in early dungeons have minute plus long battles. Also i've heared particularly long load times. But the US release does change stuff: -Transfer bonuses have been added -You can now have 8 techs on shortcut -It doesn't use the voice cast of the first ga...wait, what? That is the downside of the Namco-Bandai merger...it meant Namco got good voice actors but ToS had decent voice acting (though seriously its better for the whole since the first Baten Kaitos had horrid, horrid voice acting which couldn't be turned off in battle while Baten Kaitos Orgins had one of the best localisations i've ever seen) Personally the one thing i'm lookforward to is one Jiggy37 getting the game. Seeing as ATM the only thing he is looking forward to is Colette (hes a big colette fan) the comments should make epic reading I think I linked to his My Pokemon Ranch rant and its probably going to be bette than that was. Also, i'm worried the things the same does right (the battle animations were motion captured) will be forgotten. Finally, since I'm in Europe I can look forward to it coming out in TBD... Edit: No More Heroes 2 is much more promising for both America and Europe. Marvelous is publishing it in America (no more Ubisoft and their black and white manuals) and Rising Star Games (who are related to marvelous...somehow) are publishing two versions in Europe. One "censored" version (we the "censored" version of NMH as the violent version hadn't been made at the time Rising Star signed the contract) and one violent version.

DX Wait, you didn't like ToV? I haven't played it, but besides the fact it's WAYYYYY too easy to hold an enemy in a combo... Transfer bonuses?! Like for Grade and stuff?! I'm going to Grade farm RIGHT NAO. *Hopes that information is true*

Its what Scamco announced at their Super press conference for non-Japanese...in Japan. Namco Bandai also unexpectedly revealed two new Dawn of the New World additions for the North American market: First, loading GameCube clear data from Symphonia randomly unlocks certain items, in-game currency, and other bonuses at the beginning of the game. Second, the North American release increases the available motion-controlled special-move shortcuts to eight, up from four in the Japanese version.

==A relative of mine had imported it, I believe. In a particular chat I had with him, he went on about all the things that were done wrong in the new version. Something about summons being gone, old characters from the first game not being able to level up, and a few other things. Anyways, he said the second was a real failure compared to the first. I find that somewhat hard to believe, because in my book that would make an absolute vomit-inducing game, since I found the first to be pretty average, but that might be due to the fact that I had to play it beside another person for several hours over and over.

Yeah I'm not too surprised with summons gone and the ability to level up returners being very... non-existent. You can't expect much from a pseudo-Pokemon type battle system. I like Pokemon and all but... come on.

Yeah, I wasn't planning on using the monsters. And are you serious about the original cast not being able to level up? Namco, you have GOT to be kidding. I really shouldn't be reading this topic; it's killing all the hopes and joys I had built up for this game over the months...
