*Obligitory release bump*

IGN reviewed the game. Their bottom line (and what they said in the podcast) seemed to have a vibe of "fans would like it, only we're not fans so we can't tell". Thing is what i've read off the internet seems to disagree, you know the whole:
-Lets not use the original voice actors
-Lets make using the symphonia cast a pain in the ass (you have to manually switch to them every single battle and then there is the whole no leveling)

Of course this is the part that you'll probably walk away with...

Being the only RPG on the Wii's horizon, this doesn't feel like a relief -- it feels rather depressing.
I was going to say but what about Square-Enix and they've gone and pretty much abandoned the system (again?) apart from Final Fantasy Crsystal Chronicles: My life in development hell and the Taito side of the company releasing WiiWare (I just hope the next batch isn't 700 blocks, for their sake).

Otherwise my parting thoughts are, at least its not Quest 64 bad . That game is nicely described as rather boring. Plus there is always the virtual console...you've always wanted to try Ys Book I&II or Secret of Mana, right?

Edit: Another review. You donb't have to read for this one. Its the gametrailers video review. Its more positive than the IGN review even if it rises a load of question marks. IGN: The translation is borerline gibberish, Gametrailers:The script is well-written...except that emo protagonist, hes to aquired tastes.

The gametrailers review is a lot less biased than the IGN review.  Now, once I get it after school I'll see which one I more agree with...

Does IGN have a thing against the Wii too?

I have to admit, I don't think I expect anything good from the Gamespot review; it's fairly clear that Gamespot doesn't like Wii.

IGN or gamespot don't seem to have anything against the Wii. I don't know what you are talking about.

Heres some amusing stuff regarding Gamestop and this game.

Gamestops database calls the game Tales of Symphonia: Dawn New World*. This means the automated pre-order goes like this:
"Hi, this is Ashley from Gamestop calling to remind you that 'Tales of Symphonia: Dawn New World' will be out tomorrow"
Sadly its not as good as when the automated call-bot said that Super Mairo Galaxy was rated M for Mature

Also an e-mail add Gamestop sent out promoting the new WoW game had a "stocking stuffers" seciton where the game appears and was called "Tales of etc.". Tales of etc, now thats a Tales of game I would buy day 1

*-Usually space limitations cause issues like this only the official stratagy guide has the same words followed by official stratagy guide. Sadly its not amusing as the time I bought "Pokemon Mystery Dung"

For the people wondering why there are no replies from people who have a copy of the game and are playing, most places don't have thier shipment yet This is what I don't get about the US games industry, its a big title stores do midnight openings on a sunday and have the copies at least 5 days before said date but if it is anything else you might get on Tuesaday, might wait till Friday...I suppose America is a bigger country and so getting those copies around is tougher but you'ld think by now they'd have it better planned

Yay, I got Tales of Symphonia 2. So far, I'm liking the game, but maybe it's because I've been anticipating the game for a while. I love the free-run system, but that's because the only Tales of games I've played befoe are Symphonia (first one) and Phantasia. Anyways, I only have one rant...
