My biggest dissapointment was in Micaiah. I had a strong dislike for her. I also didn't like the fact that part 1 was a complete rip off of FE9

Part 1 was a rip off of FE9?
My biggest disappointment was in Part IV's plot.
But the ending took care of that.

Or maybe they aren't anyone special? Look at say... Marcia in FE9. She might as well not even have any supports considering what little is learned about her. =P

If anything, my biggest dissappointment is the data transfer glitch (though I intend to have them fix that ASAP...) and the Muriam profile error... anyone seen any fixes in that??

Micaiah's lack of awesome bugged the hell out of me. Her rapid and very late class changes were o_O-worthy. It also irritated me that Part 1 was generally the hardest part of the whole game because of the DB units' durability to the enemies. There was hardly any durability to speak of.

Her rapid and very late class changes were o_O-worthy. This is different from every other FE lord... How? That probably came off a lot more snide than I intended, but my point still stands... I think FE9 Ike is the only FE main character to promote at a reasonable time in the story rather than the tail end of it.

Micaiah has both the earliest and latest Lord promos in FE history, not counting Celice's, because his is like any other unit. Her Light Priestess is second only to Roy's, and, considering the number of chapters in this game, it doesn't make much difference in her situation. Though, yes. I agree that FE9 Ike's promotion is the most reasonable of the bunch.

Well the most disappointing thing is that the game flat out sucks. It is the most severely flawed FE I've ever played and probably with the worst story yet. I'm still playing the game because of my project to help the FESS database but every time I play it gets on my nerves.

Data transfer was fixed ages ago. All I know about profiles is the EU release had it fixed so I'd hope they fixed it in the US version. As for biggest dissapointment. Storyline isn't one. Sequels almost always end up like this if you still have most the original cast banging about. There are too many characters for character development, most of the plot is spent chasing plotholes and the rest of it is used on a trainwreck finale...okay maybe Radiant Dawn didn't quite end up like all of that. But... My biggest disapointment. The imbalanced difficulty is the worst i've ever seen in Fire Emblem. You make the dawn brigade missions virtually impossible for beginners so they give up by chapter 2 or something and then you have part 2 which is easy even if the units are boring. Part 3 which starts off easy then gets tough for the dawn brigade maps. Part 4 bucks the trend of the other three parts. Also, removing the Arrow weakness from Dragon Riders and adding a thunder weakness so thunder magic wasn't totally inferior (well, actually it still was) was a huge mistake. A what were they thinking mistake. It made Haar virtually invincible for much of the game provided he didn't go near two thunder magic users at the same time (which there are very few opportunities for). Also it reinforced the whole Dragon Riders > Pegasus Riders.

The Australian release at least has neither the FE9 save data glitch or the Maurium error. The one perk of having to wait so long, I guess...
I never had any real problems with the story really, although I'll be the first to admit it's not the best FE has had. What I didn't like was how hard to use some characters were thanks to joining times and restrictions in the final chapter. Tormod, Vika and Oliver are useless (incredibly late joining + weapons types are redundant in final chapter), and there are a few others which are far harder to use than they probably should be.

No, he means that the problems were fixed before the game was released. Personally, I thought Micaiah was the biggest disappointment. I thought the story was okay, the balance didn't bother me and the support conversations I care little for. But Micaiah is just so ... boring. I prefered every other lord over her, even Lyn. Coming from me, that says a lot.

I actually agree with you a lot. Though, to be honest, since Ike is my favorite main character, I couldn't help but enjoy any kind of ending he got, no matter how bad. And about this with the DB being bad... Why is it that nothing I do gives Eddie decent Avoid? I'm using him for lulz on EASY, and even with max Spd as a Swordmaster, (around 29 IIRC) the enemies still have about a 40% hit on him, WITH Weapon Triangle Disadvantage. IN PART 1. What I found overly biased was how high the enemies' stats were. The DB isn't horrible, persay, it's just that 90% of them are overshadowed by the enemy, and just about everyone else.

What I did not like about this game are Micaiah's crap speed (at least for me, I don't know what her growth rate is) and how late some characters re-join. For example, Tormod, Vika, Ilyana (for me, it was hard for me to use her despite me promoting her at part 1), Calill, etc. I do hear that Meg and Fiona are pretty worthless. Overall, I do wish that all characters, or at least most of them, can be usable just like the majority of the characters in FE9.

I hope that was a typo, since Ilyana doesn't have that problem. In fact, she has the highest availability of all characters. She's pretty weak (and especially vulnerable to the Cats who will likely double her), but it's not because of that.
And any character is usable in Easy since you can just load Bonus XP on them. You get so much more than the other modes.

Check the bosses leadership stars out (I think its called Authority). Those stars add hit and avoid to all units under their command. The final chapter of part 1 I think the boss might have been given a star or two too many...well I guess you do have some seriously overpowered units at your disposal but it kills the growth potential of everyone who isn't...
