Willfor has retired

Willfor wanted one of us administrators to post the following notice in this board, in it's entirety:

It's sort of weird in a way. I consider myself fairly lucky. When I was first really coming into the online scene, FESS was the second forum I ever scanned. When I finally got up the nerve to thrust my opinions out there it became the first forum I ever posted on. I had a rough idea of who everyone was from reading. Though I never really knew what was really going on until I went into chat.

I guess from the tone of this you can guess one of two things: Either I am leaving or retiring (the first implies the second but the second doesn't imply the first). I am retiring. I think I have had a very good run. I have only done one thing that I regret, which happens to be one of the times I blew up at Blacky Wacky. Not the other times, just that one, but it still tends to count.

History lesson: I'm pretty sure I wasn't on anyone short list for this position until I managed to deal with some really stupid things in a smart way on another forum. When I was bumped up to staff I replaced Iris (who I am actually still good friends with), and I seem to have not been replaced by anyone myself, so I think I was doing a well enough job until recently (My activity for the past year/year and a half has honestly not been what I would want it to be). I have not always seen eye to eye with the other staff members when it comes to certain things, but I can say that I voiced my concerns where it really mattered to me. (If I didn't voice my concerns, could it really have mattered much anyway?)

To those who remain:

Superbus: I have often played the devil's advocate with you. Apparently you seem to be fine with that as we have met in the middle more often than we have walked away with sore heads. I guess that is the best anyone can ask for when one person plays the adversary. I hope the times when my head was on evenly makes up for the times when my blood was up during our exchanges.

Sword Saint: I talked to you consistantly for a period between 2004-2007 on #fesschat. It was always either entertaining, or informative. For instance:

Togieduo: I only really started to get to know you when we were playing together in Heritage, but I'm glad I did. You need to go back your old name though.

Lord Glenn: You always seem to have an even head on your shoulders, which is an advantage I hope you will take full advantage of in the future. I'm glad we had a chance to chat together for awhile.

My fellow Generals: It's unfortunate that I won't be able to attend our rom requester eating contests anymore, but I hope you will save me some liver. ?

Also, since every staff member who retires is bombarded with responces like "You're leaving the forum?" or "Don't leave us!", I will say one thing: GOODBYE FOREVER >(! (I am not actually leaving the forum, lol. It may seem like it since I am lurker by nature, but I still load up FEFF from time to time. Getting rid of me is like getting rid of the plague.)

I'll miss Will. I really will. He's right, he usually plays Devil's Advocate with me, and oftentimes, would make me see an error in my way of thinking. Willfor really was a good mind and a good member of our staff, who played the conservative to my liberal very, very well. Good on 'ya, Will.
