And I don't mean that "converse" crap, where they exchange a grand total of 1 line of dialogue.  Where's my supports?  I want Ilyana to try and eat people!!

There are no supports other than the Converse crap...
Though, A supports do give double endings in some cases.

How about you try writing the 2556 conversations necessary for the anyone-can-support-anyone system to work.

Nowhere near feasible.

I'm actually sort of interested in doing fan supports, though I'd have to get the game first. I probably wouldn't do EVERY character (LOL brain damage).

I just kind of thought of endings as I went along. There were SO many other pairings that could of gotten an ending....

Heather/Neph
Rhys/Mia
Ike/Lethe (You KNOW there were feelings in the PoR A support...)
Lyre/Gatrie (more of a comedic ending)
Brom/Neph
Mist/Rolf (if you don't like Mist/Boyd)
Laura/Aran (I don't believe they get an ending)
Titania/Mist (more of a mother/daughter ending)

Post any others you may think are interesting....

Don't forget the whole reason Lyre joins the battle is because of Ranulf.

Which is precisely the point, as made clear in ID's post... There's an absolute ton and asking for that many different supports is asking an awful lot.

Aye.  It was nice of them to allow full support compatibility, rather than having to assess who was best of the possible options to support with, but I don't like that you can only get ONE support, with no conversations.

Really 2556?  Wow.  Radiant Dawn had a hell of a lot of characters.

(All that said, I still miss Ilyana eating people... )

Oops. Miscounted. 2485 supports.

There are 71 characters that can support (assuming Cepheran and the Dark Knight cannot). Each character can support with all 70 other characters. Divide by two to account for supports in two directions (in other words, A initiating the support with B is considered the same as B initiating the support with A even though I don't think this is the case in FE10). That gives 2485.

The lack of supports was indeed a shame, but think about it - most of the characters have already had normal support conversations (last game).  More real supports would be nice, but I think they were trying something different this time, and it turned out fairly well.

...then again, I really wanted that Sanaki/Naesala ending.  Hmm.

Some support "convos" do have special text for certain characters, as I've just noticed.  Pelleas x Tibarn comes to mind.

Perhaps they could've written A supports. That way there's 3 times less to write. (Still a lot, but it'd be fun.)

And perhaps you could unlock the actual conversations at the end of the game and then view them? (Not like PoR's supports, which you can only read.)

Actually, I forgot to factor that in. So 2485 is the number of support pairs (thus the number of A supports to have to write), not conversations. If you wanted to write all three levels of support, that'd be 7455 support conversations to write.

...God DAMN. That IS a lot.

And don't forget that Micaiah/Sothe start on A, so that's 2 less

I want to see Gatrie x Mia, since they have an A right now... as do my Soren x Ike. (I think)

By the way, I saw somewhere on GameFAQs that Pelleas and Micaiah have an A-Support ending. Since Serenes Forest's Ending Support list is still in construction, is that true ?

They don't. Her ending just changes if he's alive.

Instead of (something along the lines of) "by request of the nobles of Daein, Micaiah...", it becomes "by request of the nobles of Daein and, the previous king Pelleas, Micaiah...

I liked the older system of supports. The new one just kills the excitement of reading the convo you worked so hard on.

I liked that you could support anybody with anyone. It made things nice to not have to try and figure out who could support who and when they could do it. And it made it easier to get those stat bonuses. It was a fresh, nice change.

But I have to agree with everyone who misses them because it killed a lot of the character development. Admittedly, it was always optional, but it was kind of fun piecing together the personalities and histories of the various characters who didn't really get much screen time otherwise. I guess you could say a good chunk of the characters had the fully fleshed out convos in PoR, but they could have done more. I hope they go back to the old system in future games.

Most likely they will.  Although they COULD attempt unique convos for everyone ... but that would take a lot of effort.  Maybe if we beg ?
