I'm going to start a new playthrough of Path of Radiance, mainly because it's one of my favourites and because i feel like playing it again. So this time, I'm doing a challenge: the "U18 Challenge" (and Ike, of course). For those of you who didn't pick up on it already, I mean "under eighteen", so characters that are children only. It seems that this game has the smallest amount of minors in it, so I think it would be suitable. So far, on the list, I have:
Ike
Soren
Mist
Rolf
Tormod
Sothe
Jill
Mia
Astrid
Ilyana
I know for sure that Jill is only something like 15-17, but is there anyone else who could be under 18 in this game? I'm not really sure, but to me, Mia and Ilyana look quite young, and Largo calls Mia "kid" in their support conversation. Also discussion goes here kthxbai

Ike is 17 according to Serenes Forest, so he can always go in.
Boyd strikes me as childish.
Everyone else just seems too damn old, except maybe some of the Crimean people (I can see Elincia and Marcia being younger, but it's hard to estimate their exact ages).

Ilyana, Mia, and Elincia all look under 18 to me. I'm not sure what to say about anyone else. Very few of the characters have known ages.

Oh, and include Makalov; to quote my health teacher, "He's a kid. His balls haven't dropped."
Looks fun. RD might yield some more success for you as far as difficulty if you go that route, because of WHO you will be using. (No Micky, possibly Sothe, Meg, Edward, Leonardo?, etc etc)

They don't GIVE the ages of the characters that often, do they? Most if not all of the player characters from 5-7 have official ages. A few of the others have "semi-official" ages as well. |

I thought it was mostly only age ranges + speculation, with only a few exact ages...?
i.e. FE6, Roy is 15, Klein is 19; decades for everyone else.

Marcia for certain should be on that list. Otherwise I think you have them all from PoR.
Concerning Elincia, I honestly think she's around 20 year old. My reasoning is a bit convoluted, but mostly its because I'm 90% certain she's the same age as Lucia, who doesn't look any younger than 20 herself. Plus Lucia is the older sister of Geoffrey, and he certainly doesn't seem any younger than 18. (yeah, if the icon was any indication, I'm a huge fan of these characters. I have everything about them mapped out)
Besides, I actually like it that a lot of the characters seem a bit older in this game, even more as we watch them age into RD. The whole "teenages save the world" scenerio feels a bit contrived and rediculous after a while. plus I don't feel like I'm getting too old

I always thought Boyd was Ike's age...
In any case, other than that, I think you have a killer lineup here. The younger characters in FE tend to get awesome stats for some odd reason.

If you want to be Technical, don't include Soren.
If you want to play based on information from FE9 alone, include Soren.

I always thought that Boyd was a bit older than Ike, since Boyd became a full-time mercenary before Ike did.
Then again, Mist and Rolf became fighters in the Greil Mercenaries at a younger age than Ike did.
Here's an idea, albeit a downright insane one: Not only to use only characters under the age of 18, but make sure that they remain under LEVEL 18 as well...
On second thought, that might be quite impossible.

I was thinking more along the lines of using a Master Seal (or finishing chapter 17, in Ike's case) before they reach level 18 unpromoted, myself. And making sure that they don't reach level 18 promoted either...

It's been quite easy to far, I'm up to Chapter 10. The only real difficulty I had was Ike and Soren running out of weapons, and the defense chapters. I had to rely on pure luck for one of them, taking about eight tries in the process. Soren runs out of Wind way too fast, and Ike can't seem to get enough swords. Don't forget this is the PAL version, so Ike doesn't have his four-swords glitch with him.
