MORE! MORE RETIREMENTS FOR THE RETIREMENT GOD!
Well, here you go.

One would think that after having done this before, a second time would be easier. But it's not. Far from it. Even though my reasons are entirely different this time around, it's still the same hard ordeal I have to go through in writing this. But unfortunately, it is inevitable; I hereby resign from my position as an administrator and staff member of Fire Emblem: Sanctuary of Strategy.
It's been a long ride. I joined all the way back on February 11, 2003, after lurking for one or two months. I was directed to FESS by Eaichu at the time; I requested help for a Pairing Guide (a project that I still need to finish... someday) on the forums of GameFA
GQs and Shawn suggested I should visit FESS. And so I did.
A lot has happened since. I've had moments where I held a fiery debate over who is the superior unit in certain FE games, I've had tears run from my eyes of laughter because of certain threads in the Craziness Domain. And I gained a lot of amazing friends. Though there were a few awkward moments as well. The Incident (both I and II, dundunDUN), to name one. But one cannot expect to only experience the good. And though the Incident II scarred us the most (we basically lost FESS2 forever), we learned from our bad moments and managed to turn them into something good.
I'd rather not make this a long thread. For the last year, I haven't been very active on FESS. Some of you probably noticed this and could have seen this resignation coming. My personal life has been eating up all of my free time and FESS was starting to become a burden. I barely logged on, only doing a few check-ups once in every while. And certain, recent events have forced me to put in my resignation. Though, around the same time, I was planning on coming back and resume my administrative duties like I did before. And I still wish the best for FESS. But quite frankly, there's also a chance that I won't be able to resume my duties like I did a year ago. And rather than becoming a burden to my fellow staff members, it's wiser to step down and let the others handle FESS; something I haven't been doing for much too long.
There are a lot of people I'd like to thank, but these are the people that deserve it the most. I do hope nobody feels neglected, but it doesn't mean I don't love you.

MageInTraining and WyvernSageLord; both will probably feel aggravated for being addressed together, but for some reason I can't think of one without thinking of the other. Both have been rather troublesome members in the past and they were quite a hazard when together. But both have grown into more mature members with their hearts in the right place. FESS has quite a history of members causing trouble and be thrown into GEOS, to be never seen again. But these two have shown me that it's also possible for people to change for the better. Mitty, WSL: you both have my thanks for making FESS all the more interesting.
Twilkitri;

MageKnight404; before you became a moderator, we have a fierce discussion on who should be promoted to one. We really needed new fresh blood at the time and you were one of the first names that popped up inside my head. I still can't quite put my finger to it, but for some reason you seemed like the perfect candidate. And boy, have you proven yourself. You're far from being a 'bad cop', but you certainly have your head on the right place and you're able to judge rightfully. It's a bit egocentric, but it feels good to see how you turned out as moderator.
Steve; you've become a pillar of strength for FESS in your years as staff members. You were always there for the members when they needed it and you've always been supportive of your fellow staff members, even if you didn't agree with them all of the time. You've been a formidable leader, something I did not expect from you in the time you were barely new. When you became root, I had full confidence in you and I hope you'll continue the good work.
Josh; you're the last to join the current team of admins, but certainly not the least. You've proven to be an excellent moderator and administrator during your time as staff member. What I admire most about you is your ability to see things from another perspective. You've always had a fresh view on things and it's made being an administrator a lot more interesting, though also tougher at times. I also managed to experience your friendship and I can say you're a very good person. Please continue doing an excellent job.
And last, but not least, Chris; we go way, way back. Like I've told you many times before, my first impression of you was "Who the hell is this guy and who made him moderator?" Little did I know was that you'd become
the most important person in the history of FESS (not counting the founders, as there wouldn't be a FESS to begin with if it weren't for them). There's only so many ways to thank a person for doing a marvelous job, but you deserve a lot of them. FESS wouldn't be what it is today if it weren't for you. And I'm sure that you'll be able to help FESS climb out of this hole it's fallen into. Still, good luck with that.
Also, thank you for giving me a chance to be a staff member. I'm really glad that you've given me the oppertunity to do this. It was a lot of fun and it's sad I have to step down. But I know that FESS is in good hands.
With that said, time to log into the Admin CP for the last time and demote myself to FESS Veteran. Man, am I gonna miss my Eliwood icon.

Oh, and I'm sure I'll stick around, so no worries there. It won't happen much, but expect to see a post or two from me, from time to time.

Thank you, FESS. For giving me this amazing experience.

And this turned out longer than I had planned...
