Didn't that one set of armor in Twilight Princess take care of that issue?
No.  The Magic Armor in Twilight Princess was a situational piece of garbage.  The game was so easy that you didn't need it except for one or two parts in the trial dungeon.

The next Zelda game would need ALttP's difficulty, dungeon design, and variety of uses for the equipment Link uses.  Twlight Princess had some cool puzzles with items, but towards the later half of the game it is apparent that you're using the Claw Shot most of the time, then it becomes a kick in the balls that the Sky Temple has an upgrade to the Claw Shot, something you've already been using so much.  You would think a dungeon like that would have more Gale Boomerang use.  Less linearity, like pointed out, is necessary as well.

While I agree with what most of what you said, I really think people overrate A Link to the Past's difficulty. Really, it's not that hard to discover all its secrets within a week assuming casual play... =/

Totally agreed. LttP isn't exactly "hard", with the irritance that is Dungeon Number 3's boss, and the insane damage the enemies in the dark world do to you when you first go there.

(I shall leave these forums the same way I came in--through the other games board.)

Forget all these squabbles about difficulty. The series needs some life breathed into it pronto. Twilight Princess introduced some excellent new ideas, but they all fell flat on their face because, when you get right down to it, it's just Ocarina of Time 2.0. Let's do something new with the dungeon concept, because quite frankly, everytime I find out I have to go down into another cliche, themed hole-in-the-ground, I grimmice thinking about having to track down a bunch of keys and treasure chests.

Also, debate about Link's voice aside, would it hurt us Miyamoto if the other characters spoke? They were "lip-synced" to air in Twilight Princess, which brought a tear to my eye because I was so close to really connected with some of the characters. Flapping gums with nothing coming out really has become a sticking point...
