But yeah, I can also speak moderate French, German and Portuguese, but you've already gotten them covered by (near-)fluent speakers so I doubt it'll be necessary.

My activity is pretty much limited to my HnT translation thread, and I might just disappear again once it's done.

That said, I'm afraid you won't be able to count on me for that, Steve. It isn't like I've ever done anything in that program, anyway...

I can help with portuguese. Since it's my first language. I should also warn that I speak the brazilian variation of portuguese. It isn't that much different from the portuguese spoken in Portugal or in Angola, but the brazilian one has influence of other languages.

Usually (pretty much always, I'd say), the Portuguese speakers who have trouble with English are Brazilans, anyway.

Oops, missed the bit where you wanted to know of our experience.

Uhh... with French, I've been in a specialized program from Kindergarten all the way through high school called French Immersion, in which you take a lot of your classes in French, and now I'm majoring in French Studies at university, and go to a completely bilingual university, and take a lot of my classes in French... and I've also spent time in both France and Québec... yeah.

As for Spanish, I took it for three years in high school, and have taken in both years so far in university.
