Yeah I've seen this; me and some other friend are planning on showing this to our own band director so he can try it next year.

The description says Mortal Kombat.

I thought I saw a MK in the box formation, but I can't be sure.

I watched it again; you're right. That was awesome. The world needs more performances like this.

They were making outlines of characters after the box, too, I think. I'm pretty sure I saw Scorpian (Just from the shoulders up; with an arm raised and that whip thing he shoots out coming out of it)

Although I could have completely misinterpreted that one.

I seen this a while ago and absolutely love what they were able to do.  Brilliant.

That's pretty inteesting. This year, my high school marching band got to play several video game theme songs (Halo, Bounty Hunter [although it's really Advent Rising; wtf?], and Kingdom Hearts) but that's not nearly as cool as Tetris and Zelda...

This year, our marching unit (for showtime pieces) played Sierra Sister (composed solely for marching) and...  New York, New York.  The latter by Frank Sinatra.  This followed the year we played Superman and an incredibly energetic version of the song that used to play on Venus vibrant commercials.  And both were damned fun.

A video game halftime show would save us right now.
