The FE Wiki says that ranking details for FE6 aren't known, and VASM's site doesn't have them either. I'm assuming that the FE6 ranking system is generally similar to FE7's, so I have a couple of questions:

How difficult are the parameters for FE6 HM when compared to FE7 HHM?
Are ranking parameters determined experimentally or through hacking? Assuming it's the latter, could someone tell me why the data hasn't yet been extracted from the ROM?

Survival is the same mechanically, Weapon is unknown. Tactics and EXP are relatively less strict compared to FE7, Combat is harder. This is mostly from hearsay and looking at results from playing through without keeping ranks in mind.

FE7 ones were experimented with first, then someone found their location in the ROM and Vincent extracted all that was necessary. I don't know if he tried to do it for FE6...I hope he does sometime.

Ah, thanks... Is Tactics easier more because turn requirements are more relaxed in general or because there are no 0-turn chapters?

Also, how many units should I promote assuming that I get all of the chest goodies and don't use/sell stat-ups or gems? Funds was a bit of an annoying problem in FE7 HHM because midway through I ended up having a whole slew of units at 15-20 while only being able to promote 2 or so without Funds penalty.

The unknown rank is Power- it's determined by the total Level of all characters. Promoted characters count as Level +20. I forgot how many Levels you need to A-Rank it though.

FE6 Rankings is on my long to-do list. Besides the actual hacking, the only thing stopping me is that it takes so long to reach the Rankings screen in the Epilogue (even with the game speed set to 1000% or something).
