Before this thread goes the way of oblivion, I do want to note one obvious thing that I think that girl over there needs to hear.


You need to understand what is your strength and weaknesses, and find an industry that is appropriate for that. If you are not careful, life will turn you upside down, eat you up and toss you outside on the streets if you try to overstep what your actual skill set is, in a industry that has hard lined requirements. If you can't draw shit, and you try to be a concept artist, or you're 5'0 and 115 pounds and try to be a professional basketball player, or if you can't hold a note, or you're tone deaf and try to make it in the music industry, the world will tell you otherwise.

Has people fought against those odds if they desired it badly enough? Yes. But it came with MUCH pain, and even in some cases; they simply STILL didn't make the cut, because of physical limitations.

I don't really think I can make an excuse for what I wrote yesterday, except to say that I was under some freakish combination of sleep deprivation, stress about a midterm today, and 8 hours straight of studying Comparative Politics and revolutionary theory (hence some of the *ahem* batshit insane tangents I went on). In all my years traversing internet forums, I've only seen people deliberately necropost to annoy people 3 or 4 times. Once every 2 years to give a statistic. Different forums, too.
