Okay so who else loves this show? I only recently got into it, and it took a few episodes to catch hold on what was going on (even now I'm like, "You mean that guy that can [insert power here]?" when I'm talking to my friend about it), but I love the intricacy of the plot. I've seen a few people with Heroes signatures (and even names!) so I'm hoping to get a good discussion going here.

I'm one of the people who love this show. It has a really awesome character cast and one of the better stories I've seen in a long, long time. Sure, it revolves once again around saving the world, but the approach to how they save the world is unique (at least, to me).
One would think that the whole concept of humans with extraordinary powers would die after being smacked around with stuff like Spiderman, the X-men, the Fantastic Four and whatnot. But I don't have that feeling at all when watching Heroes. Also, the comic book-esque story telling is really cool and adds a whole new dimension.
It's my favorite show on tv, save for De Lama's.

The thing is though, that the focus is never on on character per say. Like, okay, with Superman, you're like okay dude, you're Clark Kent by day, Superman by... well whenever you need/want to be. Someone's going to threaten the world and you're going to use your superhuman (sort of) strength and such and bam. You beat the bad guy. Good game.
This series, though, is... it's different. Not only are there several good guys and bad guys with powers (much like The Incredibles's style, except this isn't a kid's show really), but you're not really sure if they will or not. I mean judging by television's history, they will, but you're not entirely sure like you are with the X-Men and Spiderman.
They pull from different comic books, too, not just the most famous ones. They have the whole, "We have to work together" business and the, "We're going to cure these people" thing similar to X-Men, people having to hide their identity like, oh, EVERY superhero... They don't have cheesy names though. There's no "Wolverine" or "Spiderman." They're more normal than that. They don't come from other planets, etc...........
Oh the coolest thing about this series was the painter though. Paint the future? Nicely done. Now will acting on that make it happen or prevent it? Etc.
By the way, Peter is one of my favorite characters. ;D

I am quite enjoying the show, and the powers that many of them obtain are quite entertaining to watch. Of course, the production values are not so high, so we don't get to see many of them putting them to good use in battle. Like, say, Hiro stopping time or teleporting around whilst battling, or Kensei actually fighting individuals.
I like how it is going now, being that you are unsure who is evil. Is it Adam, the organization, or Sylar? Quite entertaining.
Also,

All you have to do is look at my avatar and signature to know the answer to the question and who my favorite character is. Oh, and I hope Adam IS bad. One EP left in season 2...

I watched the whole first season along with season 2 over the last few weeks and, as much as I hate to say it, it's better than Lost. I watched epsiode 2.07 yesterday and thought "Great, NOW season 2 starts to get interesting" and now I hear it only has 11 episodes? Oh my... that just ruined my day.

Blame the writer's strike, Spade. They would have continued on past Season 2 otherwise (They were planning to stop at EP11, but).

Oh for the love of... I hate them now. The Season two finale was the best damn thing ever, and opened up way too many questions.

While it being awesome, I was also a bit disappointed in the finale. It felt like they tried to cram too much into one episode. But I guess that couldn't have been prevented, with the writer's strike and all.

For further reference, it's 'Elle', not 'Belle'.
