My family went through an entire week full of unfortunate happenings and unnecessary drama. Something happened during this time that might end with my dad and stepmother losing their house, but luckily that isn't set in stone. Other than that, things have been pretty uneventful.

damn, it's been a long time...

not that it's been good on me, granted. I've hopped around for RPs, but haven't found much success on the pure RP Aspect - I've jumped on PnP RPG and other Stat-based RP Forums.

As for my RL... well, looking for work, really. Half a year outta college (BS in Information Systems, Minor in Creative Writing, from CMU) and still looking...

life picked up after fess went under, played some games and finished highschool with moderately high marks. decided to go to college next year to become a welder (halifax got drafted to build 2 warships in the drydocks = construction workers UNITE). working this year off to pay for college. life's been pretty great, missed a few of you buggers togie where are youuuuu

- finishing BA in HRM next semester.. only to set up for my masters program afterwards to continue the cycle of life consumption for a little while longer
- moved to hoboken nj
- have a good salary and a good job when im not driving 100 miles towards the middle of nowhere

Taking classes (Upright Citizens Brigade, Carolyne Barry, iO, Annie Grindlay, etc)... applied for a 2-year conservatory program with Stella Adler and an internship at a radio station.

Er. I guess it's clear I'm not studying Biology anymore.

I also got a most pathetic fender-bender in the Whole Foods parking lot. That was one expensive half-gallon of milk >__<

We were leaving the parking lot. The car in front of me moved. I inch up while straining to look to the left (there is a bus station that inhibits vision). I hit the car in front of me. Whoops, apparently they only inched up, didn't actually go.

Oh yeah, I actually do stuff in the internet now instead of just lurk all the time, forgot to say that.

Hopefully graduating with a BA in Political Science next semester, absolutely no idea what I'm doing after that.  My best hope is to get hired by the real estate firm I worked at the summer before last (and would've worked at again this summer, but they weren't hiring summer interns, only project-duration "temps", and the project was longer than my summer.  If I'd already graduated I'd have been pretty well set for a while.  Bah).

Took about six months before I stuck with another forum after FESS went down; I bounced around for a while after that.

Played through Shadow Dragon; the game hasn't aged well and the graphical style is still kinda meh.  At least I won two free copies of it when it came out, so I didn't feel like I'd wasted my money.  Only time I've ever won a contest.

Otherwise I waste time playing video games, hanging out with friends, and being totally unproductive.

After FESS, hung around the other FE forums until I got a place to set up FE8x (at FEP).  I stayed at FEP for a long while, helped start up and was a "staff member" of FETO until I ragequit a few (I don't remember) down the road.  After that, stayed off the internet pretty much until I was kicked out of uni.

Decided to pursue writing again, but I needed a place to continue writing that wasn't ff.net and somehow found Touhou-Project.com, where after lurking for about a month I started posting.  I've been there a year and 11 months, doing weekly updates for a CYOA that I run.

Other than that, I also took my Storyline Head position seriously enough to get back on GSHC on a regular basis, and I started up my game creation studio here at home again.  Unfortunately, nothing to really show for it, but I am working on quite a few things...

And assuming Stencyl didn't change their ideas again, I should have a basis by which to "restart" FE8x (I'm not giving up on this just yet).

Worried about college, mainly. Even though I applied to every single college on the planet twice, there's always that sinking feeling that you're not going to get accepted to a college you know and then what happens, so. I got good test scores (2000 on my SAT, including a 770 in Critical Reading, 5s on both AP tests I took, etc), by in school I generally have Bs and Cs all up ins. I'm just not a good student, because, like, right now, I should be doing homework, but I'm all like, "Oh what's new with the FESSers man this is a reunion why am I not there?" and that happens for six hours and then its Monday.

Yeah so that's more than you cared to know about me but I'm more sexually attractive than you are so deal with it.

if all else fails, community college isn't a horrible option. it's a really good opportunity to raise your grades, since classes, especially the math, science, and writing ones, are generally geared toward refreshing the memory. whereas in university those intro classes are designed to weed people out.

also i hear it's a thousand times easier to get financial aid, and so you dun actually hafta pay for it.




as for me, i've applied for a teaching job in japan...and i'm pretty confident imma get it. i find out in february if i've been put into the maybe-lets-start-interviews pile, and by april i think they'll tell me for sure. if that doesn't pan out, my back-up plan is getting my masters at an international school.

It's so good to hear from everyone; it feels like it's been forever since I've visited this board, or any Fire Emblem board for that matter.

Since the closing of FESS, I've graduated college with a Bachelor's of Science in Public Health.  Still haven't found any kind of job in the field, but luckily one of my part time jobs took me back as a cashier. 

Also, my family's been struggling financial wise for these past two years, and despite graduating, the situation hasn't improved too much.  My mom now lives off of my twin sister's money and refuses to get a job.  It's been irritating, but that's life.

Game-wise, I've started to like games outside of the RPG genre more, though RPGs are still my favorite.  It's been forever since I've played a new Fire Emblem; the last one I played was Path of Radiance. It's not that I don't like the series, I just have been wrapped up in other games.

I've finished my M.Sc. degree (or whatever my degree would be called in the US, I'm sure it's a Master in Europe) classes for good, which feels weird. I still owe like 5 finals, 3 seminar essays and more random shit, so it's not like I'm done. But still, no more classes!
